ADAS Calibration for Alfa Romeo models

Alfa Romeo is one of the few brands where a single marque runs two completely different sensor architectures. The Giulia and Stelvio sit on the proprietary Giorgio rear-drive platform with unique sensor positions, while the Tonale and Junior use Stellantis CMP-derived hardware shared with Peugeot and Citroën. Different platforms mean different calibration procedures - and most garages only know one. Our IMI-certified technicians calibrate both, from £199, across 70+ UK workshops.

Alfa Romeo ADAS Calibration Cost

Calibration costs depend on your specific Alfa Romeo model, which ADAS systems need recalibration, and whether mobile or workshop service is required.

Every Alfa Romeo model has different ADAS sensors fitted depending on trim level and year. Share your registration and we’ll confirm exactly which systems need calibration.

What Alfa Romeo ADAS Calibration Involves

The three most common calibration scenarios for Alfa Romeo vehicles — each linked to a dedicated service page.

£199 Starting price

Windscreen Camera Recalibration

Every Alfa Romeo with a forward-facing camera — including models with Lane Departure Warning, Traffic Sign Recognition, and Autonomous Emergency Braking — requires camera recalibration after windscreen replacement. This is the most common Alfa Romeo ADAS job we carry out.

Radar & Sensor Alignment

Alfa Romeo models fitted with Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Detection, or Rear Cross Traffic Alert carry radar modules behind the bumper or grille. Any bodywork repair or bumper removal requires sensor recalibration using manufacturer-specific targets and procedures.

Post-Collision Full Check

After any collision repair involving a Alfa Romeo, multiple ADAS sensors may be disturbed simultaneously — including cameras, radar modules, and parking sensors. A comprehensive post-collision calibration restores every system to factory tolerances and satisfies insurer documentation requirements.

Alfa Romeo ADAS Systems We Calibrate

Alfa Romeo uses a mix of proprietary and Stellantis-standard system names:

  • Highway Assist System - combines Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control with Lane Centering for Level 2 semi-autonomous motorway driving, activated via the left steering wheel button
  • Traffic Jam Assist - extends Highway Assist to low-speed stop-and-go traffic
  • Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control (IACC) - radar-based cruise control that adjusts to surrounding traffic
  • Forward Collision Warning with Full Stop - Alfa Romeo's automatic emergency braking, capable of bringing the vehicle to a complete stop
  • Lane Centering (LC) - active steering assistance to keep the vehicle in its lane
  • Active Blind Spot Assist - detects vehicles in adjacent lanes using rear bumper sensors
  • Rear Cross Path Detection - warns of cross-traffic when reversing
  • Traffic Sign Recognition - reads speed limits via the front camera
  • Intelligent Speed Control - adjusts speed based on detected road signs

The front-facing camera sits behind the rear-view mirror on all models. The radar is integrated into the front bumper. On Giorgio-platform cars, these sensor positions are unique to Alfa Romeo. On CMP-platform cars, they match the standard Stellantis layout.

Alfa Romeo Models - Full ADAS Calibration Coverage

The Stelvio is the most common Alfa Romeo in the UK and offers the full Highway Assist suite on the Giorgio platform. The Giulia shares identical ADAS hardware as the sport saloon equivalent. The Tonale brings the highest ADAS specification in the range on the CMP-derived platform, and the Junior enters as the newest model with a strong safety specification for its segment.

We calibrate ADAS systems on 5 Alfa Romeo models, covering the Giorgio platform (Giulia, Stelvio) and CMP-derived platform (Tonale, Junior), plus the discontinued Giulietta.

Alfa Romeo ADAS Calibration — Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about ADAS calibration for your Alfa Romeo

No. The Giulia sits on the proprietary Giorgio platform with sensor positions unique to Alfa Romeo. The Tonale uses a CMP-derived platform shared with [DS Automobiles](/ds-automobiles) and other Stellantis brands. Calibration procedures differ between the two platforms, which is why specialist knowledge matters.
