Is the 488 GTB discontinued?

Yes — production ended in 2019, replaced by the F8 Tributo. But thousands remain on UK roads. If your 488 GTB has AEB and needs bumper repair, the calibration requirement still applies regardless of the model's production status.

How does the 488 GTB compare to the 488 Pista for ADAS?

The 488 Pista is the track-focused variant with revised aerodynamics and a different front bumper profile. If both have AEB, the radar hardware is the same — but calibration targets differ because of the Pista's unique bumper geometry. We also calibrate the 488 Spider and 488 Pista Spider.

The 488 GTB was produced from 2015 to 2019 – straddling the transition period when Ferrari began fitting AEB to its road cars. Later 488 GTBs (approximately 2018-2019) may have AEB with a front radar behind the bumper, while earlier cars may have no ADAS at all. If your 488 GTB has had bumper work and you are seeing a dashboard warning related to emergency braking, the radar likely needs recalibration.

After Front-End Collision
