Ferrari 812 Superfast ADAS Calibration

The 812 Superfast is Ferrari's naturally aspirated V12 front-mid-engine grand tourer – 789bhp, a long bonnet, and a front bumper that houses the AEB radar on later production models. The 812's ADAS provision is minimal compared to newer Ferraris, but AEB on equipped models is still a safety-critical system. After front bumper repair or collision work on your 812 Superfast, the radar needs checking and recalibrating.

ADAS Systems on Your Ferrari 812 Superfast

The 812 Superfast (2017+) sits on Ferrari's front-mid-engine V12 platform:

  • Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) – available on later models (approximately 2019+). Front radar behind the bumper.
  • Parking sensors – ultrasonic front and rear.
  • Rear camera – standard reversing camera.

Early 812 Superfast models (2017-2018) may have no ADAS systems at all. Ferrari began fitting AEB as standard across the range from approximately 2019. The 812's long nose means the radar sits further forward than on mid-engine models – giving it more exposure to front-end contact but also more space for the calibration equipment to access.

When Your 812 Superfast Needs Calibration

After Front Bumper or Nose Repair

The 812 Superfast's long front overhang extends well ahead of the front axle. Parking misjudgements, speed bump contact, and low-speed impacts commonly affect the nose section. If your 812 has AEB and the bumper was removed during repair, radar recalibration is required.

After Front-End Collision

Any front-end collision serious enough to require bodywork will shift the radar. The specialist body shop handles the repair – we provide the calibration step. Our Collision Calibration covers post-impact radar realignment.

Upgrading from Early to Late-Spec Bumper

Some 812 owners upgrade to later-spec front bumpers for aesthetic reasons. If the new bumper houses an AEB radar that the original did not, the radar requires initial calibration after fitment.

Ferrari 812 Superfast ADAS Calibration — FAQ

Common questions about calibrating ADAS systems on the Ferrari 812 Superfast

Likely not. Early 812 Superfast models (2017-2018) predate Ferrari's standard AEB fitment. If your dashboard shows no AEB function, the car has no ADAS sensors requiring calibration. Contact us with your year and we'll confirm.
