ADAS Systems on Your Ferrari California

The California/California T spans two generations:

California (2008-2014):

• Parking sensors – ultrasonic front and rear on most trims.
• No ADAS – no AEB, no radar, no windscreen camera. Predates all Ferrari driver assistance systems.

California T (2014-2017):

• Parking sensors – front and rear ultrasonic.
• Rear camera – standard reversing camera.
• Basic forward collision warning – available on very late production models. Front radar where fitted.

The California T was the predecessor to the Portofino, which was in turn succeeded by the Portofino M and then the Roma. Each generation added significantly more ADAS equipment. The California represents the pre-ADAS era for Ferrari's entry-level GT.

When Your Ferrari California Might Need Service

Parking Sensor Recalibration

If your California's parking sensors are giving false readings after a bumper repair or respray, the ultrasonic sensors may need rechecking. Bumper replacement can shift sensor positions, particularly on the California T where the sensors are integrated into the bumper skin.

Late California T with Forward Sensors

If your California T (2016-2017) has forward collision warning and the system flagged a fault after bumper work, the front sensor needs recalibration. Contact us with your exact model year to confirm what systems are fitted.
