Ferrari F8 Tributo ADAS Calibration

The F8 Tributo was Ferrari's first mid-engine V8 to receive AEB as standard equipment – a significant shift for a marque that historically avoided driver assistance systems. If your F8 Tributo has been through a body shop for front-end work and the emergency braking warning appeared on the dashboard, the radar behind the bumper needs recalibration. It is a straightforward sensor alignment, not a hardware fault.

ADAS Systems on Your Ferrari F8 Tributo

The F8 Tributo (2019+) sits on Ferrari's mid-engine sports platform, the successor to the 488:

  • Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) – standard. Front radar behind the bumper, Bosch co-developed hardware.
  • Full ADAS Pack – not widely available on the F8. Most F8 Tributos have AEB only, without ACC, Lane Departure Warning, or Blind Spot Detection.

The F8 Tributo was the transitional model – Ferrari's first to make AEB standard but before the Full ADAS Pack became a common option (which arrived with the Roma and 296 GTB). This means most F8 Tributos have a single ADAS sensor: the front radar behind the bumper.

The radar position is low in the bumper, consistent with the mid-engine layout. The S-Duct aerodynamic channel in the nose runs close to the radar housing – repairs involving the S-Duct area can affect radar alignment.

When Your F8 Tributo Needs Calibration

After Bumper Repair or Stone Damage

The F8 Tributo's front end channels air through the S-Duct and across the radiators. Stone chips and road debris can damage the bumper skin. Any repair that involves removing the front bumper – even for paintwork – displaces the AEB radar. Radar recalibration restores emergency braking accuracy.

After Front-End Collision

Impact damage to the F8 Tributo's nose section goes through specialist Ferrari repairers. Once the bodywork is complete, the AEB radar requires recalibration. Our Collision Calibration provides the sensor alignment step that completes the repair.

S-Duct or Aero Component Work

The F8's distinctive S-Duct channels air over the bonnet for downforce. Repairs or modifications to this area involve bumper removal and can shift the radar from its factory position.

Ferrari F8 Tributo ADAS Calibration — FAQ

Common questions about calibrating ADAS systems on the Ferrari F8 Tributo

Most F8 Tributos have AEB only — Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Departure Warning were not commonly fitted. The Full ADAS Pack became more prevalent on later models like the Roma and 296 GTB. But AEB is standard, so the front radar is always present.
