Ferrari Roma ADAS Calibration

The Roma is Ferrari's most GT-oriented model – and the one most likely to leave the factory with the Full ADAS Pack ticked on the options list. Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Detection, and Surround View Camera all sit behind bodywork that sees daily driving duty. If your Roma's ACC has stopped working after a bumper repair or the Lane Departure Warning disappeared following a windscreen replacement, the sensors need professional recalibration.

ADAS Systems on Your Ferrari Roma

The Roma (2020+) is built on Ferrari's front-mid-engine GT platform and offers the Full ADAS Pack as an optional extra:

  • Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go – radar-based system controlled via the touchpad on the right steering wheel spoke. The radar sits behind the front bumper.
  • Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) – standard from 2020, active even without the Full ADAS Pack. Uses the same bumper-mounted radar.
  • Lane Departure Warning – relies on the windscreen-mounted camera behind the rear-view mirror.
  • Blind Spot Detection – rear bumper corner sensors monitoring adjacent lanes.
  • Rear Cross Traffic Alert – warns of approaching vehicles when reversing.
  • Traffic Sign Recognition – camera-dependent speed limit reading.
  • Surround View Camera – four cameras at front, rear, and both mirrors providing a bird's-eye parking view.
  • Auto High Beam – automatic headlight dipping.

Even Roma owners who did not option the Full ADAS Pack have AEB as standard – meaning the front radar behind the bumper is present and requires calibration after any front-end work.

When Your Ferrari Roma Needs Recalibration

After Front Bumper Repair

The Roma's long, low nose is sculpted for aerodynamics – and vulnerable to car park contact. The front radar powering ACC and AEB is integrated into the bumper. Any removal, replacement, or realignment of the front bumper shifts this sensor. If ACC has stopped functioning after bodywork, radar recalibration restores it.

After Windscreen Replacement

Roma owners with the Full ADAS Pack rely on the windscreen camera for Lane Departure Warning, Traffic Sign Recognition, and AEB input. Every windscreen replacement requires camera recalibration – the glass change shifts the camera position by millimetres, which is enough to invalidate the system.

Surround View Camera Disturbance

Mirror replacement or side bodywork that disturbs the Surround View Camera mounting points requires recalibration of the full camera ring. This is less common than radar or windscreen work but appears after parking-related repairs.

Ferrari Roma ADAS Calibration — FAQ

Common questions about calibrating ADAS systems on the Ferrari Roma

Yes. AEB is standard on the Roma from 2020. The front radar behind the bumper is present regardless of whether you ticked the Full ADAS Pack. If your Roma has had bumper work, the radar needs recalibrating even on a base-spec car.
