Ferrari SF90 Stradale ADAS Calibration

The SF90 Stradale produces 986bhp from its twin-turbo V8 and three electric motors – Ferrari's most powerful road car. AEB is standard, and the Full ADAS Pack is optional. But with a base price above £400,000, any bodywork on the SF90 goes through specialist repairers who need a calibration partner for the ADAS step. If your SF90 Stradale's emergency braking has flagged a warning after front-end work, the bumper-mounted radar needs recalibration.

ADAS Systems on Your Ferrari SF90 Stradale

The SF90 Stradale (2020+) sits on Ferrari's mid-engine hybrid hypercar platform:

  • Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) – standard. Front radar integrated into the bumper, co-developed with Bosch.
  • Full ADAS Pack (optional) – adds Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Detection, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Traffic Sign Recognition, Surround View Camera, and Auto High Beam.

ADAS uptake on the SF90 is lower than on GT models like the Roma – many owners prioritise the driving experience over driver assistance. But AEB is always present, and the radar always needs attention after bumper work. The SF90's active aerodynamics – including a retractable rear spoiler – do not affect ADAS sensor positions, which are all in the front bumper and windscreen areas.

Common Triggers for SF90 Stradale Calibration

After Front-End Collision or Repair

The SF90's carbon-fibre bodywork is repaired by specialists, but the front radar behind the bumper is a standard Bosch unit requiring standard calibration procedures. After any front-end impact or bumper replacement, radar recalibration is mandatory. The radar powers both AEB and ACC (if fitted).

After Windscreen Replacement (ADAS Pack Cars)

SF90 owners with the Full ADAS Pack have a windscreen-mounted camera for Lane Departure Warning and Traffic Sign Recognition. Windscreen replacement on a car with bonded structural glass requires camera recalibration to restore these systems.

Post-Respray or Full Body Correction

Some SF90 owners commission full body corrections or colour changes that involve removing bumpers and mirrors. Even if no damage occurred, the act of removing and refitting the front bumper shifts the radar alignment. Recalibration is needed after reassembly.

Ferrari SF90 Stradale ADAS Calibration — FAQ

Common questions about calibrating ADAS systems on the Ferrari SF90 Stradale

The SF90 is a performance-focused hypercar, and ADAS Pack uptake is lower than on GT models like the Roma. However, AEB is standard on every SF90 Stradale from 2020 — the front radar is always present and always requires recalibration after bumper work.
