ADAS Calibration Cost

Unlike many automotive services, ADAS calibration pricing is relatively straightforward when a provider is transparent about it. The main cost driver is which system or systems need calibrating — not the vehicle brand.

Fixed Pricing at ADAS Line

We charge fixed prices for each calibration type: Windscreen Calibration (forward-facing camera) from £199. Radar/Sensor Calibration (front or rear radar, blind spot, parking) from £349. Collision Calibration (multi-system after accident repair) from £349. Full System Reset (complete ADAS diagnostic and all systems) from £499.

All prices include VAT, a full diagnostic scan, and a calibration certificate. There are no call-out fees for workshop visits. If your vehicle requires both static and dynamic calibration, the dynamic phase is included within the same fixed price.

What Affects the Final Price?

The main variables are the number of systems requiring calibration and whether both static and dynamic methods are needed. A single windscreen camera calibration is the simplest and least expensive. A full system reset covering multiple sensors across a complex vehicle is the most comprehensive.

Vehicle make and model can affect price in specific cases — certain manufacturers use proprietary calibration software that requires additional licence costs, which are included in our pricing. We will confirm the exact price for your vehicle before you commit to a booking.

How Do We Compare to Dealerships?

Main dealerships typically charge between £250 and £400 for a single windscreen camera calibration. A full system reset at a dealership can exceed £800. Independent specialists, including ADAS Line, charge less because we focus exclusively on ADAS calibration — it is all we do.

The equipment we use is the same OEM-grade diagnostic and calibration kit as dealerships. The difference is specialisation and efficiency, not quality. We use the same manufacturer-approved software and targets.

Does Insurance Cover ADAS Calibration?

Many comprehensive insurance policies now include ADAS calibration as part of windscreen replacement claims. Check your policy's glass cover section. If your insurer covers calibration, they will typically pay our standard rate directly or reimburse you on submission of the calibration certificate.

If calibration is not covered by your policy, it is a tax-deductible business expense for vehicles used for work. We provide a VAT invoice for every calibration, suitable for insurance or business accounting purposes.

Why Cheap Calibration Is a Risk

ADAS calibration pricing below £100 should raise questions about the equipment and process being used. Accurate calibration requires OEM-grade diagnostic software (not generic aftermarket tools), manufacturer-approved calibration targets (not generic alternatives), trained technicians familiar with the specific manufacturer's procedure, and a suitable workshop environment.

Inaccurate calibration is worse than no calibration — the system will appear to function correctly while operating with errors. The consequences of a miscalibrated AEB or lane-keeping system at motorway speed are significant.
