Honda Jazz ADAS Calibration

The Honda Jazz packs the full Honda SENSING suite into Honda's smallest UK model – the same millimeter wave radar and windscreen camera that power the larger Civic and CR-V. On the Jazz, the compact front end means the radar behind the grille sits closer to the bumper skin, making it particularly sensitive to even minor front-end contact.

Honda SENSING on the Jazz

3rd Generation Jazz (GK, 2014–2020): Honda SENSING available from 2017 on higher trims (EX and above). Includes ACC, CMBS, LKAS, and Road Departure Mitigation. Radar behind the front grille badge, camera behind the windscreen. Pre-2017 Jazz models do not have Honda SENSING.

4th Generation Jazz (GR, 2020+): Honda SENSING standard across all UK trims – every Jazz sold since 2020 has ADAS. Updated wide-angle camera with improved pedestrian detection. The Jazz's compact front end positions the radar lower and closer to the bumper face than larger Hondas, making it sensitive to even minor front-end contact.

Common ADAS Triggers on the Honda Jazz

Windscreen Replacement

LKAS and RDM depend on the windscreen-mounted camera. If your Jazz's lane keeping stopped working after a windscreen swap, the camera needs static recalibration.

Minor Front-End Contact

Jazz owners often report ADAS warnings after low-speed parking incidents. The front radar's proximity to the bumper surface means a tap at supermarket speed can displace it. If your Jazz shows ACC unavailable or CMBS warnings after front-end contact, the millimeter wave radar likely needs realignment.

Used Jazz Purchase with Existing Faults

The Jazz is popular on the used market for its reliability. Buyers occasionally find Honda SENSING warnings were present at purchase – often from an unreported minor collision. If your Jazz has persistent ADAS warnings, radar calibration typically resolves the issue.

Honda Jazz ADAS Calibration — FAQ

Common questions about calibrating ADAS systems on the Honda Jazz

If your Jazz is a 2017 or newer UK model on EX trim or above, it has Honda SENSING. All 4th-gen Jazz models (2020+) have Honda SENSING as standard regardless of trim. Check your dashboard for ACC and LKAS indicators — if they're present, your Jazz has ADAS that requires calibration after sensor disturbance.
