INEOS ADAS Systems We Calibrate

The Grenadier uses a primarily camera-based ADAS system. The 2026 model year introduces an enhanced ADAS2 package with additional capability:

• Automatic Emergency Braking / Collision Detection - camera-based forward collision prevention
• Lane Departure Warning (LDW) - alerts when the vehicle drifts across lane markings without indicating
• Lane Assist (2026+) - applies braking to centre the vehicle when solid lane lines are detected
• Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) - maintains set speed and distance to the vehicle ahead
• Intelligent Speed Assist (ISA) - reads speed limit signs and adjusts speed accordingly
• Driver Drowsiness Detection (DDD) - monitors driving patterns for fatigue indicators
• Driver Monitoring Camera (2026+) - mirror-mounted infrared camera tracking driver attention
• Park Assist Front / Rear - ultrasonic parking sensors in both bumpers
• Rear-View Camera - integrated reversing camera

The forward-facing camera handles LDW, AEB, and ISA - it's the primary ADAS sensor and sits behind the windscreen. Unlike most manufacturers, INEOS does not appear to use a front bumper-mounted radar for its core ADAS functions, making the windscreen camera the single most critical calibration point.

When Your INEOS Grenadier Needs Recalibration

After Windscreen Replacement

This is the most common calibration trigger for the Grenadier - and the most important. INEOS explicitly warns that aftermarket windscreens may affect ADAS performance and mandates genuine parts with professional recalibration. Off-road use generates frequent stone chips and windscreen damage, making this a recurring need for Grenadier owners. Every windscreen replacement requires camera recalibration - no exceptions.

After Bull Bar or Bumper Guard Installation

Bull bars and bumper guards are among the most popular Grenadier accessories. These additions can obstruct the forward camera's field of view or displace the front parking sensors. If you've fitted aftermarket protection and notice ADAS warnings or parking sensor faults, the system may need recalibration to account for the altered geometry.

After Suspension Lift Kit Installation

Fitting a suspension lift changes your Grenadier's ride height and alters the angle of the windscreen-mounted camera relative to the road surface. This can cause the ADAS camera to misread lane markings, speed signs, and distance to forward obstacles. A post-lift recalibration verifies the camera is reading the road correctly at the new ride height.

After Off-Road Damage and Panel Repairs

Trail impacts, gate post scrapes, and branch strikes are part of Grenadier ownership. When front or rear bodywork is repaired after off-road damage, the parking sensors in both bumpers need checking. A Grenadier owner recently had the front bumper repaired after a rocky descent - the parking sensors were throwing false alerts at every approach, resolved by a single sensor calibration appointment.
