The fourth-generation Rio (2017-2024) brought genuine ADAS to Kia's entry-level segment. System availability varies significantly by trim and model year – the 2020 facelift added several features:

Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) – camera-based on the Rio, detecting vehicles and pedestrians ahead. Standard from 2020 facelift on most trims, optional on pre-facelift higher trims.

After rearview mirror replacement – the Rio's camera is mounted behind the rearview mirror. Mirror work, dashcam installation near the camera housing, or interior trim removal around the mirror area can disturb the camera position.
