Land Rover Range Rover Evoque ADAS Calibration

If your Range Rover Evoque's Lane Keep Assist or Autonomous Emergency Braking has stopped responding after a windscreen replacement, the forward-facing camera behind the rearview mirror has lost its calibration. The Evoque is Land Rover's most popular urban SUV – and windscreen replacement is the most common reason Evoque owners need ADAS recalibration, because the compact design places the camera module directly on the windscreen glass.

ADAS Systems on the Range Rover Evoque

First generation (L538, 2011–2019):

  • Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) – from 2015 model year
  • Lane Departure Warning – windscreen camera
  • Blind Spot Assist – rear quarter sensors
  • Parking sensors and rear camera
  • Limited ADAS on pre-2015 models (parking sensors only)

Second generation (L551, 2019–present):

  • Adaptive Cruise Control with Steering Assist – front radar behind the lower grille
  • Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) – radar + camera fusion
  • Lane Keep Assist – active lane centering via windscreen camera
  • Lane Departure Warning
  • Blind Spot Assist with Closing Vehicle Sensing
  • Rear Traffic Monitor
  • ClearSight Ground View – front cameras showing ground beneath bonnet (optional/higher trims)
  • ClearSight Rear View – digital rear-view mirror
  • 360° Surround Camera (on R-Dynamic and above)

The second-generation Evoque (L551) shares its PTA platform with the Discovery Sport, meaning their ADAS sensor layouts are similar. However, the Evoque's sportier roofline and raked rear window make the ClearSight Rear View camera more prominent – any rear-end repair affecting this camera needs recalibration too.

Why Your Evoque Might Need ADAS Calibration

After Windscreen Replacement

The Evoque's compact windscreen profile means the forward camera sits in a particularly sensitive position. When the windscreen is replaced, the camera mounting point changes slightly – enough to throw off Lane Keep Assist, Lane Departure Warning, and the camera's contribution to AEB. If Autoglass or your windscreen fitter couldn't complete the camera calibration, our IMI-certified technicians use OEM-grade targets to finish the job.

Bumper Repairs on L551 Models

Second-generation Evoque owners with Adaptive Cruise Control have the front radar integrated into the lower grille area. City driving makes the Evoque particularly prone to low-speed bumper contact – car park scrapes, minor shunts in traffic. Even a cosmetic bumper repaint that requires bumper removal can shift the radar from its factory position. The Range Rover Sport has the same radar placement in a larger bumper assembly.

Blind Spot Assist After Rear Quarter Damage

The Evoque's rear Blind Spot Assist sensors sit in the rear bumper corners. Side impacts, rear-end bumps, or even replacement of rear parking sensors can affect Blind Spot Assist and Rear Traffic Monitor accuracy. These are safety-critical systems for urban driving where the Evoque's compact dimensions are an advantage – but only when the sensors are correctly calibrated.

Range Rover Evoque Calibration Pricing

ServicePrice
Windscreen Calibration£199
Radar/Sensor Calibration£349
Collision Calibration£349
Full System Reset£499

Windscreen replacement on an Evoque typically calls for our £199 windscreen calibration – covering the forward camera that drives Lane Keep Assist and AEB. If front bumper work also affected the radar, we combine both for a complete recalibration.

Land Rover Range Rover Evoque ADAS Calibration — FAQ

Common questions about calibrating ADAS systems on the Land Rover Range Rover Evoque

Pre-2015 Evoques have minimal ADAS (parking sensors only) and don't typically require calibration. From 2015 onwards, the L538 added AEB, Lane Departure Warning, and Blind Spot Assist — all of which need recalibration after relevant repairs. The second-generation L551 (2019+) has the full suite including radar-based ACC.
