Lexus GS ADAS Calibration

The GS was Lexus's mid-size executive saloon – discontinued in 2020 but still a common sight on UK roads. Late-production GS models came with basic Lexus Safety System+ including Pre-Collision System and Lane Departure Alert. If your GS has had front-end bodywork and PCS is showing a dashboard warning, the radar behind the grille may need recalibrating. The key is confirming whether your specific GS has LSS+ fitted – earlier models may not.

ADAS Systems on Your Lexus GS

The GS (4th generation, 2012-2020) used the N platform – predating TNGA:

  • Pre-Collision System (PCS) – available on later models with LSS+. Front radar and windscreen camera.
  • Lane Departure Alert (LDA) – windscreen camera on LSS+-equipped models.
  • Adaptive Cruise Control – available on higher trims, using front radar.
  • Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) – rear bumper corner sensors on equipped trims.

The GS had limited and variable ADAS fitment. Early models (2012-2015) may have no ADAS at all. Later models with the Luxury or F Sport trim packages were more likely to include LSS+ features. The GS uses the older N platform – sensor positions differ from TNGA-based Lexus models.

When Your Lexus GS Needs Calibration

After Front Bumper Repair (LSS+ Models)

If your GS has PCS and ACC, the front radar behind the grille needs recalibration after bumper work. This applies to later GS models with LSS+ only.

After Windscreen Replacement

GS models with LDA have a windscreen camera. Windscreen replacement requires camera recalibration on equipped models.

Confirming Your GS Has ADAS

The GS's variable ADAS fitment means not every car needs calibration. Check your dashboard for PCS and LDA functions. If neither is present, your GS has no ADAS sensors requiring calibration. Contact us with your year and trim and we'll confirm.

Lexus GS Calibration Pricing

GS models with LSS+ need radar calibration after bumper work – £349 for PCS and ACC radar alignment. If your GS doesn't have LSS+, no ADAS calibration is required.

Lexus GS ADAS Calibration — FAQ

Common questions about calibrating ADAS systems on the Lexus GS

Yes — production ended in 2020. The IS and ES now cover the mid-size saloon segment. But GS models remain on UK roads, and ADAS calibration applies for as long as the sensors are present. See all Lexus models
