ADAS Calibration for Lucid models

Thirty-two sensors. Fourteen cameras, five radars, roof-mounted lidar, and twelve ultrasonic sensors - all communicating over a proprietary gigabit ethernet ring. The Lucid Air's DreamDrive Pro is the most sensor-dense ADAS system on any production car, and virtually no independent workshop in the UK has the equipment or experience to calibrate it. We do. ADAS calibration for your Lucid, from £199, at 70+ UK workshops.

Lucid ADAS Calibration Cost

Calibration costs depend on your specific Lucid model, which ADAS systems need recalibration, and whether mobile or workshop service is required.

Every Lucid model has different ADAS sensors fitted depending on trim level and year. Share your registration and we’ll confirm exactly which systems need calibration.

What Lucid ADAS Calibration Involves

The three most common calibration scenarios for Lucid vehicles — each linked to a dedicated service page.

£199 Starting price

Windscreen Camera Recalibration

Every Lucid with a forward-facing camera — including models with Lane Departure Warning, Traffic Sign Recognition, and Autonomous Emergency Braking — requires camera recalibration after windscreen replacement. This is the most common Lucid ADAS job we carry out.

Radar & Sensor Alignment

Lucid models fitted with Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Detection, or Rear Cross Traffic Alert carry radar modules behind the bumper or grille. Any bodywork repair or bumper removal requires sensor recalibration using manufacturer-specific targets and procedures.

Radar calibration — from £349

Post-Collision Full Check

After any collision repair involving a Lucid, multiple ADAS sensors may be disturbed simultaneously — including cameras, radar modules, and parking sensors. A comprehensive post-collision calibration restores every system to factory tolerances and satisfies insurer documentation requirements.

Lucid DreamDrive - Systems We Calibrate

Lucid offers two ADAS tiers, both far exceeding the sensor count of any competitor:

  • DreamDrive (standard) - 14 visible-light cameras, 5 radar units, 4 surround-view cameras, and 12 ultrasonic sensors. Covers Automatic Emergency Braking, Highway Assist (adaptive cruise), Lane Keeping Assist, Blind Spot Warning, and 360-degree Surround View
  • DreamDrive Pro - adds a forward-facing solid-state lidar sensor on the roof, enabling Hands-Free Drive Assist, Hands-Free Lane Change Assist, and Driver-Initiated Lane Change Assist. The first US production car to ship with automotive lidar
  • Highway Assist - Lucid's adaptive cruise control, maintaining distance and adjusting speed in traffic
  • Lane Centring Assist - active steering to keep the Air centred in its lane
  • Driver Monitoring System (DMS) - cabin-facing camera that tracks driver attention, especially during hands-free driving
  • Traffic Sign Recognition - reads speed limits and road signs via the forward camera cluster
  • Automatic Emergency Braking - multi-sensor collision avoidance using camera, radar, and lidar data simultaneously

The system runs on four corner-mounted computer gateways connected by a gigabit ethernet ring - a fundamentally different architecture from traditional CAN bus-based ADAS. This means standard OBD diagnostic tools may not fully access Lucid's ADAS modules.

When Your Lucid Air Needs ADAS Recalibration

After Windscreen Replacement

Multiple forward-facing cameras sit behind the Lucid Air's windscreen. Replacing the glass disrupts every camera in that cluster, affecting Highway Assist, Lane Centring, Traffic Sign Recognition, and Automatic Emergency Braking. If your glazier couldn't complete the ADAS calibration, specialist equipment is needed - and we have it.

After Any Body Repair

With sensors distributed across the entire vehicle perimeter - five radars in bumpers and corners, cameras in mirrors and pillars, ultrasonic sensors in every panel - even minor bodywork risks misaligning multiple systems simultaneously. A fender repair that would need a single recalibration on most cars may require multi-sensor calibration on a Lucid.

DreamDrive Pro Lidar Faults

The roof-mounted lidar unit on DreamDrive Pro-equipped models is sensitive to any work involving the roof panel or header area. If Hands-Free Drive Assist is unavailable after body repairs near the roofline, the lidar sensor needs specialist recalibration - a service almost no UK independent can provide.

After Software Updates

Lucid pushes frequent over-the-air updates that can modify ADAS behaviour. In rare cases, a software update may flag sensors for recalibration verification. If DreamDrive warnings appear after an OTA update with no physical damage, a diagnostic scan determines whether recalibration is needed.

Lucid Models - Full ADAS Calibration Coverage

The Lucid Air is currently the only model in the UK range, available across four trim levels. The Air Touring, Air Grand Touring, and Air Sapphire come with the full DreamDrive Pro suite including lidar. The Air Pure uses DreamDrive standard without lidar but still carries 31 sensors requiring precise calibration.

We calibrate ADAS systems on all 4 Lucid Air variants, covering both DreamDrive and DreamDrive Pro configurations.

Lucid ADAS Calibration — Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about ADAS calibration for your Lucid

The Lucid Air uses 32 sensors – more than any other production car. DreamDrive Pro adds lidar on top of cameras and radar, creating a three-layer sensing system. Calibration requires specialist equipment that can address all sensor types, including the proprietary ethernet ring architecture. Standard ADAS shops equipped only for camera-and-radar vehicles cannot handle Lucid's full system.
