Maserati Quattroporte ADAS Calibration

The Quattroporte is Maserati's flagship sedan – a full-size luxury saloon that competes with the Mercedes S-Class and BMW 7 Series. Now being phased out, thousands remain on UK roads with ADAS sensors that need attention after bodywork. If your Quattroporte's Forward Collision Warning has activated after a grille repair, the radar behind the Trident badge is out of alignment.

ADAS Systems on Your Maserati Quattroporte

The Quattroporte (2013–2023, sixth generation) carries a comprehensive ADAS suite that was enhanced over its production run:

  • Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go – front radar behind the Trident badge on the grille
  • Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) – radar and camera-based collision mitigation
  • Forward Collision Warning Plus (FCW+) – visual and audible alert before AEB
  • Lane Departure Warning (LDW) – alerts when crossing lane markings
  • Blind Spot Assist – rear-quarter sensors for lane-change safety
  • Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) – rear sensors for reversing safety
  • Surround View Camera System – four cameras for bird's-eye parking
  • Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR) – camera-based speed limit detection

Later Quattroporte models received Highway Assist System updates. The front radar sits behind the Trident badge across all production years. The long wheelbase and four-door layout mean more sensor mounting points across a larger body surface.

When Your Quattroporte Needs Calibration

After front grille or bumper repair: The Quattroporte's long nose and elegant grille house the radar behind the Trident. Even cosmetic grille work or bumper resprays that involve bumper removal shift the radar alignment. If ACC and FCW+ are faulting after body shop work, the radar needs recalibration.

After windscreen replacement: The forward camera controls LDW, TSR, and contributes to AEB. The Quattroporte's large windscreen means replacement is more common – and every replacement requires camera recalibration.

After side panel or rear bumper work: The Quattroporte's long body means Blind Spot Assist sensors in the rear quarters and RCTA sensors in the rear bumper are vulnerable to parking incidents, particularly in tight urban spaces where a sedan of this length is challenging to manoeuvre.
