My MG HS Door Open Warning is not working — is that an ADAS issue?

Door Open Warning uses sensors that detect approaching vehicles and cyclists when a passenger opens the door. If these sensors have been displaced during side panel or door repairs, they may need recalibration. Contact us with details and we will confirm. We also calibrate the MG ZS and MG4 EV.

Why Your MG HS Might Need MG Pilot Calibration

After front bumper repair – the most common scenario: The HS is a family SUV driven daily in school runs, supermarket car parks, and urban traffic. Front bumper contacts are inevitable. The Bosch radar behind the grille powers ACC, AEB, and TJA – all three go offline if the radar shifts.

After windscreen replacement: The forward camera controls LKA, LDW, ISLA, and contributes to AEB. Every windscreen replacement on the HS requires static camera recalibration – our £199 service.

After rear-end bodywork: BSD sensors in the rear quarters and RCTA sensors in the rear bumper are vulnerable to rear-end repairs. If Blind Spot Detection has stopped alerting or RCTA warnings are missing, the sensors need realignment.
