Does the ZS EV have Traffic Jam Assist?

Yes. TJA combines ACC and LKA for semi-autonomous driving in stop-and-go traffic. Both the front radar and windscreen camera must be calibrated for TJA to function safely. If either sensor is misaligned, TJA will be disabled.

Where exactly is the radar on my ZS EV?

The Bosch front radar module sits behind the front grille or lower bumper area. On the ZS EV, this is the same Bosch unit used across MG's range. It powers ACC, AEB, and TJA. Any bumper work that involves removing or shifting the grille requires radar recalibration. We also calibrate the petrol MG ZS and MG HS.

Common MG Pilot Triggers on the ZS EV

After windscreen replacement: The forward camera controls LKA, LDW, and contributes to TJA and AEB. A new windscreen requires static camera recalibration. This is the single most common ZS EV calibration trigger – our £199 service.

After front bumper repair: The Bosch radar module (10928834) sits behind the front grille. Any bumper repair, grille replacement, or front-end collision shifts this sensor. If ACC and TJA are both faulting after bodywork, the radar needs recalibration – our £349 service.
