Nio ET5 ADAS Calibration

The NIO ET5 is the mid-size saloon in the NIO range – a more accessible entry point than the flagship ET7 but carrying the identical Aquila Super Sensing platform with all 33 sensors, the same roof-mounted LiDAR, and the same Adam Super Computing hardware. Identical sensors, identical calibration needs, identical precision required.

ADAS Systems on Your NIO ET5

The ET5 shares the NT2.0 platform and complete Aquila sensor suite with every current NIO model:

  • NIO Pilot – Level 2 ADAS: ACC, AEB, Lane Centering Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Detection
  • Navigate on Pilot (NOP/NOP+) – subscription-based advanced motorway navigation
  • Aquila Super Sensing – 11 cameras (8MP), 1 ultralong-range LiDAR (500m), 5 millimetre-wave radars, 12 ultrasonic sensors
  • Adam Super Computing – 1,016 TOPS across four NVIDIA Orin SoCs
  • ADMS – infrared cabin camera monitoring driver attention

The ET5's lower, sleeker profile compared to the EL6 SUV means sensor positions along the body sides and rear quarters are closer to ground level – more vulnerable to kerb-level impacts and parking damage.

When Your NIO ET5 Needs Recalibration

After Front-End Collision or Bumper Repair

Five millimetre-wave radars are positioned at the front and corners. The front bumper area carries both radar and ultrasonic sensors. Even a low-speed parking impact can displace multiple sensors – if ACC or AEB stopped functioning after bodywork, radar recalibration is needed.

After Windscreen Replacement

The forward cameras behind the windscreen drive AEB, Lane Centering, and NOP navigation features. Every windscreen replacement requires camera recalibration. The roof LiDAR sits directly above and should be checked during the same visit.

After Side Panel or Door Repair

The ET5's B-pillar and rear quarter cameras feed NIO Pilot and the 360-degree panoramic view. A door repair or side panel respray that requires trim removal can shift these cameras enough to trigger system warnings.

NIO ET5 Calibration Pricing

ServicePrice
Windscreen Calibration£199
Radar/Sensor Calibration£349
Collision Calibration£349
Full System Reset£499

The ET5's 33 sensors mean collision repairs typically need our £499 Full System Reset. Windscreen-only calibration is £199 – same fixed pricing regardless of model.

Nio ET5 ADAS Calibration — FAQ

Common questions about calibrating ADAS systems on the Nio ET5

Yes. The ET5 Touring is the estate variant on the same NT2.0 platform with identical Aquila sensor positions. The longer rear bodywork places rear cameras slightly differently, but calibration procedures are the same.
