Nissan Note ADAS Calibration

Does your Nissan Note need ADAS calibration? It's one of the most common questions we get about this model – and the answer depends on your generation. The E12 Note (2012–2020) introduced Intelligent Emergency Braking as standard on later production, and the e-Power Note (2020+, sold primarily in Japan but entering UK used markets) has a fuller Nissan Intelligent Mobility suite. If your Note's IEB has deactivated after a windscreen replacement or bumper repair, calibration restores the system to factory specification.

ADAS Systems on the Nissan Note

E12 Note (2012–2020):

  • Intelligent Emergency Braking (IEB) – introduced mid-cycle on facelift models (2017+). Uses a windscreen-mounted camera to detect vehicles ahead. No radar on UK-spec E12 Notes.
  • Lane Departure Warning (LDW) – camera-based, available on higher trims.

The E12 Note has a simpler ADAS configuration than Nissan's SUV range. The forward camera behind the rearview mirror is the primary sensor – there's no front radar behind the badge on most UK-market E12 Notes.

E13 Note / e-Power (2020+):

  • IEB with pedestrian detection – camera + radar
  • ProPILOT Assist – available on higher trims
  • BSW and RCTA – rear radar sensors
  • Intelligent Around View Monitor (AVM) – optional

E13 Notes entering the UK used market as imports may carry the full sensor suite, requiring the same multi-point calibration as a Qashqai.

Nissan Note – When Calibration Is Needed

After Windscreen Replacement

The E12 Note's IEB relies entirely on the windscreen-mounted camera. After glass replacement, this camera must be recalibrated – without it, emergency braking either won't activate or may trigger incorrectly. This is the most common calibration scenario for the Note.

Error Codes C1F41-04 and P1568

If your Note's diagnostic scan returns C1F41-04 or P1568, these relate to ADAS sensor or control module faults. C1F41-04 typically indicates a camera communication issue, while P1568 can signal a broader control system fault. Both require professional diagnosis and sensor recalibration – not just code clearing.

Used E-Power Imports

E13 Note e-Power models imported from Japan may have ADAS systems configured for Japanese road conditions (left-hand traffic, different speed limit recognition parameters). If your imported Note shows persistent ADAS warnings, the system may need recalibration to UK parameters – something we handle with manufacturer-grade diagnostic tools.

Nissan Note Calibration Pricing

ServicePrice
Windscreen Calibration£199
Radar/Sensor Calibration£349
Collision Calibration£349
Full System Reset£499

Most UK-market E12 Note owners need windscreen calibration at £199 – the camera is the only ADAS sensor on the car. E13 e-Power Notes with the full sensor suite may need radar calibration at £349 if front or rear sensors were disturbed.

Nissan Note ADAS Calibration — FAQ

Common questions about calibrating ADAS systems on the Nissan Note

E12 Notes built from 2017 onwards have Intelligent Emergency Braking as standard — that's a camera-based ADAS system requiring calibration after windscreen replacement. Earlier E12 Notes (2012–2016) may not have IEB. Check your dashboard for an IEB indicator light to confirm.
