Peugeot e-308 ADAS Calibration

Peugeot built the e-308 on the same EMP2 platform as the petrol 308 – same body, same sensor positions, same Drive Assist suite. Where it diverges is under the bonnet. The electric drivetrain's regenerative braking works in tandem with Adaptive Cruise Control, and when the front radar shifts during a bumper repair, that coordination fails silently before any dashboard warning appears. If your e-308 is showing ADAS faults or ACC is behaving erratically after bodywork, the sensors need recalibrating.

ADAS Systems on Your Peugeot e-308

The e-308 (2023+, EMP2 platform) carries the same Drive Assist package as the ICE 308, with identical sensor hardware in every position:

  • Active Safety Brake – windscreen camera and front radar fusion. Standard on all trims. Peugeot's name for AEB – this is the system that shows as "unavailable" after most repairs.
  • Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go – radar behind the front bumper panel. On the e-308, ACC works alongside regenerative braking to manage deceleration – it blends regen and friction braking based on radar distance data.
  • Active Lane Keeping Assist – windscreen camera monitors markings and applies corrective steering input.
  • Lane Departure Warning – audible alerts using the same camera feed.
  • Blind Spot Monitoring – rear quarter radar sensors on Allure and GT trims.
  • Driver Attention Alert – steering pattern monitoring for fatigue detection.

The windscreen camera sits in the i-Cockpit housing behind the rearview mirror. The forward radar is behind the lower front bumper – at standard hatchback height, exposed to typical urban impacts.

Peugeot e-308 – Common Calibration Triggers

Windscreen replacement

The e-308's windscreen camera controls Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Departure Warning, and the camera element of Active Safety Brake. Every windscreen replacement requires camera recalibration. Glass companies that handle the replacement often lack the Peugeot diagnostic equipment for this step.

Bumper repair and ACC-regen interaction

Front bumper work can shift the radar alignment. On the e-308, misaligned radar data causes ACC to misjudge following distances, disrupting the regen-to-friction braking handoff. The result is jerky deceleration when using cruise control. Radar recalibration restores proper coordination.

After body shop collision repair

Body shops complete panel work on the e-308 but cannot recalibrate Drive Assist sensors. If your body shop repaired the front end but ADAS warnings remain, our IMI-certified technicians handle the calibration at 70+ UK workshops.

Peugeot e-308 ADAS Calibration — FAQ

Common questions about calibrating ADAS systems on the Peugeot e-308

The sensor hardware and calibration procedure are identical — same EMP2 platform, same camera and radar positions. The electric drivetrain does not change how the sensors are calibrated. The difference is in how the vehicle uses the calibrated data, particularly the ACC-regen braking integration.
