The Renault Master E-Tech is Renault's large electric van, carrying a forward-facing camera and front radar as part of its Renault EASY DRIVE safety suite - including Active Emergency Braking, Lane Keeping Assist, and Adaptive Cruise Control. Fleet operators replacing windscreens on working vans through mobile fitters regularly encounter the AEB warning remaining active after the new glass is fitted. Camera recalibration is the fix.

ADAS Systems on the Renault Master E-Tech

The Master E-Tech uses Renault EASY DRIVE: a windscreen-mounted camera for Active Emergency Braking and Lane Keeping Assist, and a front radar for Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go. Blind Spot Warning and Rear View Camera are separate from the ADAS suite. The electric drivetrain occupies the floor of the van and does not affect the forward sensor positions.

Large van windscreens are more prone to chip damage from road debris, and replacement frequency is higher than passenger cars. Mobile fitters serving commercial operators often lack the calibration capability for Renault ADAS systems - the fault is found when the driver notices the AEB warning the next morning.

When Does the Renault Master E-Tech Need ADAS Calibration?

  • After windscreen replacement - AEB camera calibration required. Fault appears immediately and will not clear without recalibration.
  • After front bumper removal - ACC radar realignment required.
