The three most common calibration scenarios for Smart vehicles — each linked to a dedicated service page.
Every Smart with a forward-facing camera — including models with Lane Departure Warning, Traffic Sign Recognition, and Autonomous Emergency Braking — requires camera recalibration after windscreen replacement. This is the most common Smart ADAS job we carry out.
Windscreen calibration — from £199Smart models fitted with Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Detection, or Rear Cross Traffic Alert carry radar modules behind the bumper or grille. Any bodywork repair or bumper removal requires sensor recalibration using manufacturer-specific targets and procedures.
Radar calibration — from £349After any collision repair involving a Smart, multiple ADAS sensors may be disturbed simultaneously — including cameras, radar modules, and parking sensors. A comprehensive post-collision calibration restores every system to factory tolerances and satisfies insurer documentation requirements.
Collision calibration — from £349Common questions about ADAS calibration for your Smart
No – the Smart ForTwo and ForFour (W453, pre-2023) used [Mercedes-Benz](/mercedes) platforms with ultrasonic parking sensors only. They have no forward-facing camera, no radar, and no ADAS systems that require calibration. Only the new Smart #1 (2022+) and #3 (2023+) have camera and radar-based ADAS.
