Vauxhall Combo Life ADAS Calibration

The Vauxhall Combo Life is van-derived – but it carries the same ADAS as Vauxhall's passenger cars. AEB, Lane Keep Assist, and Traffic Sign Recognition all need recalibration after repairs. If your Combo Life is showing safety warnings after bodywork, the calibration process is the same as any Stellantis vehicle.

ADAS Systems on the Vauxhall Combo Life

The Combo Life (2018+) is the passenger version of the Combo van, built on the Stellantis EMP2 platform shared with Peugeot Rifter and Citroen Berlingo:

  • Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) – camera-based, standard from mid-trim.
  • Lane Keep Assist (LKA) and Lane Departure Warning (LDW) – camera-dependent.
  • Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR) and Driver Drowsiness Alert – standard.
  • Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) – radar behind the front badge on higher trims (Ultimate, Energised).

No Side Blind Spot Alert or Rear Cross Traffic Alert on any trim. The forward camera is the primary ADAS sensor. The commercial Combo van shares the same hardware – see our Vivaro page for more on commercial Vauxhall ADAS.

Combo Life ADAS – Common Triggers

After windscreen replacement

The Combo Life's tall windscreen and upright driving position give the camera a different mounting angle from a hatchback like the Corsa. The camera must be recalibrated to account for the specific windscreen curvature. If your windscreen company replaced the glass and AEB or LKA warnings persist, the camera needs recalibrating.

After front-end bodywork

Car parks, delivery bays, tight manoeuvres – the Combo Life's front end takes knocks. If the bumper was repaired and your Combo Life has ACC, the radar behind the badge needs recalibration. Even without ACC, significant front-end impact can disturb the camera bracket and trigger AEB warnings.

Fleet and body shop referrals

Body shops and fleet operators servicing Combo Lifes often need a calibration partner – they handle panel and paint, but sensor recalibration requires specialist equipment. Our UK-wide workshop network works directly with trade customers.
