Vauxhall Mokka ADAS Calibration

The Vauxhall Mokka (2021+) is built on the same Stellantis CMP platform as the Corsa, but adds IntelliLux LED Matrix headlights and a more comprehensive IntelliDrive suite as standard across most trims. If your Mokka's adaptive headlights or safety systems are showing warnings after a repair, the camera or radar likely needs recalibration.

A common scenario: someone clips a parked Mokka, causes minor bodywork damage, the bodyshop fixes the chip and scratch – and then tells the owner the ADAS system needs recalibrating. The repair looks cosmetic. The calibration requirement is real. Even a small front-end repair disturbs the IntelliDrive radar's mounting angle enough to trigger a fault.

ADAS Systems on the Vauxhall Mokka

The 2021+ Mokka (Stellantis CMP platform) comes with:

  • Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) / Forward Collision Alert – camera and radar detection of vehicles and pedestrians. Standard across all trims.
  • Lane Keep Assist (LKA) – uses the windscreen camera for corrective steering.
  • Lane Departure Warning (LDW) – audible alert for lane drift.
  • IntelliLux LED Matrix headlights – Vauxhall's signature adaptive lighting, using camera data to shape beam patterns around oncoming traffic. The Mokka was one of the first Vauxhall models to feature IntelliLux.
  • Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR) – camera-based speed limit reading.
  • Driver Drowsiness Alert – steering pattern monitoring.

Higher-spec Mokka trims add Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with radar behind the front Vauxhall badge, plus Side Blind Spot Alert with rear bumper-mounted radar sensors.

The forward camera sits behind the windscreen near the rearview mirror. The front radar (if fitted) sits behind the Vauxhall badge on the front grille – a compact mounting position that's sensitive to bumper alignment.

Common Mokka ADAS Issues

IntelliLux warnings after windscreen work

The Mokka's IntelliLux LED Matrix headlights share the forward camera with Lane Keep Assist and AEB. After windscreen replacement, both the safety systems and the adaptive headlights can show faults simultaneously. A single windscreen camera calibration resolves both – recalibrating the camera restores the data feed for all camera-dependent systems.

After bumper replacement

If your Mokka has ACC, the radar behind the front badge needs recalibrating after any bumper work. The Mokka's compact front-end design means even cosmetic bumper clips being refitted can shift the sensor position slightly – enough for ACC to lose accuracy or stop functioning.

Rear sensor faults

Mokka models with Side Blind Spot Alert have radar sensors in the rear bumper. Rear-end shunts or rear bumper replacement can trigger blind spot warnings. These sensors require separate radar calibration from the front systems.

Vauxhall Mokka ADAS Calibration — FAQ

Common questions about calibrating ADAS systems on the Vauxhall Mokka

IntelliLux uses the same forward camera as Lane Keep Assist and AEB. When the windscreen is replaced, the camera position shifts slightly — affecting all camera-dependent systems including the adaptive headlights. Our £199 windscreen calibration recalibrates the camera and restores IntelliLux function.
