Vauxhall Vivaro-e Life ADAS Calibration

The Vauxhall Vivaro-e Life serves a niche that few other vehicles cover – a fully electric nine-seat people carrier for taxi operators, airport transfer companies, and large families. Built on the same Stellantis EMP2 Van platform as the commercial Vivaro, it carries the same ADAS sensors in the same positions. The difference is usage pattern: the Vivaro-e Life racks up high urban mileage, increasing windscreen damage exposure and the likelihood of needing ADAS recalibration.

ADAS Systems on Your Vauxhall Vivaro-e Life

The Vivaro-e Life (2021+) shares its EMP2 platform with the Citroën e-SpaceTourer and Peugeot e-Traveller. ADAS configuration:

  • Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) – windscreen camera detects vehicles and pedestrians. Standard across all trims. Critical for a vehicle carrying up to nine passengers.
  • Lane Departure Warning (LDW) – audible alert when crossing lane markings. Camera-dependent.
  • Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR) – reads speed limit signs. Useful for taxi and transfer operators maintaining speed compliance.
  • Driver Drowsiness Alert – monitors steering input for fatigue. Relevant for long-distance transfer work.
  • Rear Parking Sensors – ultrasonic sensors in the rear bumper. Essential for a vehicle of this length.
  • Rear Cross Traffic Alert – warns of approaching vehicles when reversing out of parking spaces. Available on higher trims.
  • Flank Guard – side ultrasonic sensors for manoeuvring in tight spaces.

The forward camera sits behind the windscreen at the top of the cab. The Vivaro-e Life does not have front radar for ACC – its ADAS is camera-based, identical to the commercial Vivaro.

When Your Vivaro-e Life Needs Calibration

After windscreen replacement

The Vivaro-e Life's large windscreen is vulnerable to stone chips, especially on motorway and A-road transfer routes. After a glass replacement, AEB, LDW, and TSR all lose calibration. Glass fitters handling large commercial-format windscreens often lack the Stellantis diagnostic tools to complete the camera calibration – that's where we step in.

Taxi and transfer fleet usage

High-mileage Vivaro-e Life vehicles used for airport transfers and private hire accumulate windscreen damage faster than private cars. Fleet operators need a reliable calibration partner who can handle the work at any of our 70+ UK locations without taking the vehicle off the road for days.

After rear bumper or panel repair

The Vivaro-e Life's length makes it prone to low-speed rear impacts in car parks and loading areas. Rear parking sensors, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Flank Guard sensors can all shift during rear panel or bumper repairs. If proximity warnings are inaccurate after bodywork, sensor recalibration restores accurate readings.
