The VW ID.3 uses a completely different ADAS architecture from any other Volkswagen. Built on VW's MEB electric platform rather than the MQB used by the Golf and Passat, the ID.3 bundles its driver assistance under the IQ.DRIVE banner – a unified suite that treats radar, cameras, and ultrasonic sensors as one interconnected system. When one component is disturbed, the entire IQ.DRIVE suite can deactivate. We calibrate every ID.3 ADAS sensor back to manufacturer specification.

Common questions about calibrating ADAS systems on the Volkswagen ID.3
Yes. The ID.3 uses VW's MEB electric platform with different sensor hardware and positions than the MQB-platform Golf. The most important difference: the ID.3's front radar is in the lower bumper panel, not behind the VW badge. This affects which repairs trigger calibration needs. Our technicians use MEB-specific calibration procedures and targets — see all Volkswagen models we calibrate.
