ADAS Calibration for Alpine models

Two Alpines, two completely different stories. The A110 - the lightweight sports car - has no radar, no forward camera, and no ADAS to calibrate. The A290 - the new electric hot hatch built on the Renault 5 E-Tech platform - carries 26 active safety features including AEB, adaptive cruise, and lane keeping. If you own an A290, every windscreen replacement and bumper repair triggers a calibration requirement. ADAS calibration for your Alpine A290, from £199, at 70+ UK workshops.

Alpine ADAS Calibration Cost

Calibration costs depend on your specific Alpine model, which ADAS systems need recalibration, and whether mobile or workshop service is required.

Every Alpine model has different ADAS sensors fitted depending on trim level and year. Share your registration and we’ll confirm exactly which systems need calibration.

What Alpine ADAS Calibration Involves

The three most common calibration scenarios for Alpine vehicles — each linked to a dedicated service page.

£199 Starting price

Windscreen Camera Recalibration

Every Alpine with a forward-facing camera — including models with Lane Departure Warning, Traffic Sign Recognition, and Autonomous Emergency Braking — requires camera recalibration after windscreen replacement. This is the most common Alpine ADAS job we carry out.

Radar & Sensor Alignment

Alpine models fitted with Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Detection, or Rear Cross Traffic Alert carry radar modules behind the bumper or grille. Any bodywork repair or bumper removal requires sensor recalibration using manufacturer-specific targets and procedures.

Radar calibration — from £349

Post-Collision Full Check

After any collision repair involving a Alpine, multiple ADAS sensors may be disturbed simultaneously — including cameras, radar modules, and parking sensors. A comprehensive post-collision calibration restores every system to factory tolerances and satisfies insurer documentation requirements.

Alpine A290 ADAS Systems We Calibrate

The A290 inherits its full ADAS suite from the Renault 5 E-Tech platform. Alpine calls the package Active Driver Assist:

  • Automatic Emergency Braking - forward collision detection with pedestrian and cyclist recognition
  • Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go - radar-based cruise that handles traffic queues automatically
  • Lane Keeping Assist - active steering correction when drifting from lane
  • Lane Departure Warning - visual and audible alert if you leave your lane without indicating
  • Intelligent Speed Assist - adjusts cruise speed based on detected road signs
  • Driver Attention Alert - monitors steering patterns for driver fatigue
  • Automatic Emergency Braking in Reverse - rear obstacle detection when reversing
  • Emergency Lane Departure Correction - applies corrective steering if the car leaves the road at speed
  • My Safety Switch - unique to Alpine, a steering wheel button that lets drivers toggle ADAS preferences in a single gesture

The front-facing camera sits behind the rear-view mirror. The radar is integrated into the front bumper. Sensor positions are identical to the Renault 5 E-Tech - proven calibration procedures apply directly.

What About the Alpine A110?

The A110 (all variants including R and S) has no camera-based or radar-based ADAS. It carries only cruise control with speed limiter, stability control, and ABS. There is nothing to calibrate. The A110 has been discontinued from UK sale due to GSR2 safety regulations.

When Your Alpine A290 Needs Calibration

After Windscreen Replacement

The forward-facing camera behind the A290's windscreen powers AEB, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Traffic Sign Recognition, and Intelligent Speed Assist. Replacing the glass means the camera must be recalibrated before these systems function accurately. If your glazier couldn't complete the ADAS calibration, we handle it.

After Bumper Repair or Collision

The front bumper houses the radar sensor powering Adaptive Cruise Control and contributing to Automatic Emergency Braking. Any front-end repair - even cosmetic - that involves bumper removal risks shifting the radar. If your A290's cruise control stopped working after bodywork, radar recalibration restores it.

My Safety Switch Not Responding Correctly

Alpine's unique My Safety Switch lets you toggle ADAS preferences with one button press. If the switch seems to have no effect, or ADAS features behave inconsistently after a repair, the underlying sensors may be out of calibration. The switch itself is working - the systems it controls aren't receiving accurate data.

Dashboard Warnings After Service Work

If your A290 shows Automatic Emergency Braking warnings or Adaptive Cruise Control faults after servicing - even for unrelated work - check whether the bumper was removed during the repair. Mechanics sometimes remove bumpers for access, inadvertently disturbing the radar sensor.

Alpine Models - ADAS Calibration Coverage

The A290 is the only Alpine model requiring ADAS calibration, with 26 active safety features on the CMF-BEV platform shared with the Renault 5 E-Tech. The A290 GTS performance trim uses identical ADAS hardware.

We calibrate ADAS systems on all Alpine A290 variants. The A110 range has no ADAS sensors and does not require calibration.
