Bentley ADAS Systems We Calibrate

Bentley packages its ADAS into two specification levels - here's what each system does:

  • Touring Specification - the highway ADAS package: Adaptive Cruise Control with Lane Guidance, Lane Assist, Traffic Sign Recognition, and Forward Collision Warning
  • City Specification - the urban ADAS package: Top View Camera, city-speed automatic braking, and pedestrian detection
  • Adaptive Cruise Control with Lane Guidance - radar-based cruise with active steering assistance to keep you centred in lane
  • Emergency Braking - automatic braking when the system detects an imminent collision
  • Night Vision - a thermal camera that detects pedestrians and animals in darkness, displaying infrared images on the instrument cluster. Available on Bentayga only
  • Blind Spot Warning - detects vehicles in adjacent lanes using rear bumper-mounted radar
  • Top View Camera - surround-view system using four exterior cameras for parking
  • Predictive Adaptive Cruise Assist - uses navigation data to adjust speed for upcoming curves and junctions

The front camera sits behind the rear-view mirror. The radar is integrated into the front grille area. On the Bentayga, a Night Vision thermal camera adds a third sensor in the front bumper assembly.

When Your Bentley Needs ADAS Recalibration

After Bumper or Grille Repair

The front radar behind your Bentley's iconic grille powers Adaptive Cruise Control and Emergency Braking. Even cosmetic work that involves removing the grille or bumper can shift the radar's alignment. If cruise control stopped functioning after your Bentley left the body shop, radar recalibration resolves it.

After Windscreen Replacement

Every current Bentley has a forward-facing camera bonded to the windscreen for Lane Assist, Traffic Sign Recognition, and Emergency Braking. When the glass is replaced, the camera must be professionally recalibrated. If your windscreen fitter couldn't complete the ADAS calibration, we handle it - it's the same procedure we perform on Audi and Porsche vehicles daily.

Bentayga Night Vision Faults

The Bentayga's Night Vision system uses a thermal camera in the front bumper area. If the bumper has been repaired or replaced, the infrared camera needs separate calibration alongside the standard radar. This is a specialist service that most ADAS workshops don't advertise - we do.

Dashboard Warnings Without Obvious Cause

If your Bentley displays Forward Collision Warning faults, ACC unavailable messages, or Lane Assist warnings with no recent repair or accident, sensor drift from road vibration or a minor parking knock may be the cause. A diagnostic scan identifies which system needs attention.
