Can a garage that calibrates the Atto 3 also do the Yuan Plus?

Yes. The sensor hardware, mounting positions, and diagnostic protocols are the same. Our technicians use the same BYD-compatible equipment for both models. We also calibrate the BYD Dolphin and BYD Seal.

Does the Yuan Plus have RCTB like the Seal?

The Yuan Plus has RCTA (Rear Cross Traffic Alert) as a warning system. The active braking variant — RCTB (Rear Cross Traffic Brake) — is available on the BYD Seal and Sealion 7 but not on the Yuan Plus. The RCTA warning still depends on accurately calibrated rear sensors after any rear bumper work.

The BYD Yuan Plus is the compact electric SUV that shares its underpinnings with the Atto 3 – same e-Platform 3.0, same proprietary sensor hardware, same DiPilot systems. If your Yuan Plus has ADAS warnings on the dashboard after a bumper repair or windscreen replacement, the sensors need recalibration with BYD-specific equipment.

The Yuan Plus runs on e-Platform 3.0 with the DiPilot package:

Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) – front radar and camera detecting vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists
Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC) – radar-based adaptive cruise, sensor behind the front bumper
Lane Keep Assist (LKA) and Lane Departure Warning (LDW) – windscreen camera behind the rearview mirror
Blind Spot Detection (BSD) – rear-quarter sensors for lane-change safety
Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) – detects approaching vehicles when reversing from parking

The Yuan Plus shares its sensor architecture with the Atto 3. BYD manufactures these sensors in-house – the front radar and camera are proprietary components, not sourced from Bosch or Continental.

Why Your Yuan Plus Might Need ADAS Calibration

After windscreen replacement: The forward camera behind the rearview mirror controls LKA, LDW, TSR, and contributes to AEB. Every windscreen replacement on the Yuan Plus requires camera recalibration – it is the single most common DiPilot calibration trigger.

After front bumper repair: The compact SUV dimensions make parking contacts common. The front radar powering ICC and AEB sits behind the bumper – any repair that involves bumper removal triggers recalibration.

After rear-end bodywork: BSD sensors in the rear quarter panels and RCTA sensors in the rear bumper are displaced by rear-end repairs. If Blind Spot Detection has stopped alerting during lane changes, or RCTA warnings have disappeared, the rear sensors need realignment.
