The 488 Spider's retractable hardtop made it one of Ferrari's most popular open-top V8s – and late-production examples (2018-2019) left the factory with AEB fitted as standard. If your 488 Spider has had front bumper work and the emergency braking system is showing a dashboard fault, the radar needs professional recalibration. The convertible roof mechanism has no bearing on the AEB system – the radar sits in the front bumper, well forward of the roof hardware.

Common questions about calibrating ADAS systems on the Ferrari 488 Spider
No — same radar hardware, same bumper position. The Spider's retractable hardtop does not affect the front-mounted AEB radar. Calibration procedures are identical for both variants.
