Ferrari 812 GTS ADAS Calibration

The 812 GTS revived the open-top front-engine V12 Ferrari – a removable targa panel over the cabin, 789bhp, and a nose long enough to house a V12 and an AEB radar. On later 812 GTS models (2019+), the AEB radar sits behind the front bumper. After any nose-section repair, that radar needs professional recalibration to ensure emergency braking accuracy.

ADAS Sensors on the 812 GTS

The 812 GTS (2019+) shares its platform and ADAS hardware with the 812 Superfast – AEB with the front radar behind the bumper, ultrasonic parking sensors, and a rear camera. For the full sensor specification, see the 812 Superfast ADAS page.

The key difference: timing. The 812 GTS launched in 2019, coinciding with Ferrari's decision to make AEB standard across the range. While early 812 Superfast models (2017-2018) may lack AEB entirely, virtually every 812 GTS left the factory with the front radar fitted. The removable targa roof panel sits over the cabin and has no relationship with the front-mounted radar.

When Your 812 GTS Needs Calibration

After Front Bumper or Nose Repair

The 812 GTS shares the Superfast's long front overhang. The nose extends well forward of the front axle, making it susceptible to kerb contact, speed bumps, and car park misjudgements. Any bumper repair involving removal or refitting requires radar recalibration.

After Collision Repair

Front-end collision repair on the 812 GTS displaces the AEB radar. Our Collision Calibration provides the post-repair sensor alignment.

After Windscreen Replacement

The 812 GTS does not have a windscreen-mounted camera (no Full ADAS Pack available), but the windscreen replacement process on any modern vehicle should include a check of nearby sensors. We can verify no systems were affected during the glass change.

Ferrari 812 GTS ADAS Calibration — FAQ

Common questions about calibrating ADAS systems on the Ferrari 812 GTS

No. The removable roof panel sits over the cabin, far from the front-mounted AEB radar. Removing or replacing the targa panel has no impact on ADAS sensors or their calibration.
