Ferrari Portofino ADAS Calibration

The Portofino replaced the California T as Ferrari's entry-level GT convertible – and brought AEB as standard equipment from launch in 2018. If your Portofino's emergency braking flagged a warning after a bumper repair or front-end collision, the radar behind the bumper has shifted and needs recalibration. The Portofino sees more daily driving than many Ferraris, which means more exposure to the kind of minor bodywork that triggers recalibration.

ADAS Systems on Your Ferrari Portofino

The Portofino (2018-2020) sits on Ferrari's front-mid-engine GT platform:

  • Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) – standard from launch. Front radar behind the bumper.
  • Parking sensors – ultrasonic front and rear.
  • Rear camera – standard reversing camera.

The Portofino was produced before the Full ADAS Pack became available – no ACC, no Lane Departure Warning, no Blind Spot Detection. It was superseded by the Portofino M in 2020, which added the optional ADAS Pack. The original Portofino has AEB only, making calibration straightforward: one radar, one sensor to align.

When Your Portofino Needs Calibration

After Bumper Repair

The Portofino is designed as a daily GT – weekend trips, restaurant runs, and city driving. Front bumper contact in urban environments leads to bodyshop visits. After any bumper removal or repair, the AEB radar needs recalibration.

After Collision Repair

Front-end collisions shift the bumper-mounted radar. Our Collision Calibration provides the sensor alignment after the bodyshop completes the repair.

After Respray or Paint Correction

Bumper resprays that require removing the bumper from its mounts shift the radar alignment. Even if no damage occurred, the radar needs recalibrating after refitting.
