Does putting the roof down affect ADAS sensors?

No. The Roma Spider's ADAS sensors — radar, windscreen camera, blind spot monitors — are unaffected by roof position. The systems function identically whether the hardtop is raised or stowed.

Windscreen Replacement on a Convertible

The Roma Spider's windscreen sits within a frame designed to bear structural loads when the hardtop is stowed. Windscreen fitters replacing glass on the Spider must work around these tolerances. The camera behind the windscreen needs recalibration regardless of how carefully the glass was fitted – any positional shift in the camera affects Lane Departure Warning, Traffic Sign Recognition, and AEB accuracy.

Front Bumper Damage

Like every front-mid-engine Ferrari, the Roma Spider's low nose is exposed to parking contact and stone chips that can lead to bumper removal. The front radar sits inside the bumper – radar recalibration is required after any bumper work.

Mirror or Side Panel Work

The Surround View Camera includes lenses mounted in both wing mirrors. Mirror replacement after a clip or parking scrape means the surround view system needs recalibrating.
