Genesis G80 ADAS Calibration

The G80 is Genesis's executive saloon – and the first model in the range to feature Highway Driving Assist II with machine-learning cruise behaviour and Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control. NSCC pre-adjusts your speed for curves and speed limits using map data, which means the front radar and camera must be aligned with millimetre precision for the system to function correctly. After any front-end repair or windscreen replacement, that alignment needs professional verification.

The G80 (2020+) sits on the M3 platform with the fullest ADAS specification below the flagship G90:

  • Highway Driving Assist II (HDA II) – Level 2+ highway assist with machine-learning adaptive cruise, lane centring, and assisted lane changes on motorways
  • Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control (NSCC) – pre-adjusts speed for curves, junctions, and speed limits using map data
  • Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) – AEB with pedestrian, cyclist, and junction detection

Why Your Genesis G80 Might Need Calibration

After Front-End Repair or Collision

The G80's front bumper houses the main radar and is near the corner radars that power HDA II. A collision or even cosmetic bumper removal shifts multiple sensor points simultaneously. If HDA II and Smart Cruise Control both went offline after bodywork, collision calibration covers all affected sensors.

After Windscreen Replacement

FCA, Lane Following Assist, and NSCC all rely on the windscreen camera. Replacing the glass requires static recalibration – our windscreen calibration at £199 handles this. Without it, NSCC cannot accurately read the road ahead.

Remote Smart Parking After Bumper Work

NSCC uses map data to pre-adjust your speed for upcoming curves, junctions, and speed limit changes. It requires precise radar and camera alignment to correlate sensor data with navigation information. If either sensor is out of position, NSCC may not activate or may respond incorrectly.
