Genesis brands its full ADAS suite under Smart Sense. Here's how each system maps to what you might know by a generic name:

  • Highway Driving Assist II (HDA II) - Level 2+ highway assist combining adaptive cruise, lane centring, and machine-learning-based speed adjustment. Uses forward radar, front camera, and navigation data. Available on G80, G90, GV60, GV70, and GV80
  • Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) - automatic emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection
  • Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go - radar-based adaptive cruise that handles motorway traffic queues
  • Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control (NSCC) - pre-adjusts speed for curves and speed limits using map data, requiring precise radar and camera alignment
  • Lane Following Assist (LFA) - active lane centring that steers within lane markings
  • Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist (BCA) - detects vehicles in adjacent lanes and actively steers back if you begin to change lane into an occupied space
  • Remote Smart Parking Assist (RSPA) - parks and retrieves your Genesis remotely using ultrasonic sensors and surround-view cameras
  • Driver Monitoring System (DMS) - infrared cabin-facing camera monitoring driver attention, fitted to G90 and GV60

The front-facing camera sits at the top of the windscreen behind the rear-view mirror. The radar is integrated behind the front bumper emblem area.
