ADAS Calibration for GWM models

GWM brands its driver assistance technology Coffee Pilot - and if that name means nothing to your body shop, that's exactly why you're here. The Ora 03 scored best-in-class small family car in Euro NCAP testing, which means full ADAS comes standard on every variant. Twelve sensors, a cabin-facing facial recognition camera, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor - all needing specialist calibration after any repair. From £199, at 70+ UK workshops.

GWM ADAS Calibration Cost

Calibration costs depend on your specific GWM model, which ADAS systems need recalibration, and whether mobile or workshop service is required.

Every GWM model has different ADAS sensors fitted depending on trim level and year. Share your registration and we’ll confirm exactly which systems need calibration.

What GWM ADAS Calibration Involves

The three most common calibration scenarios for GWM vehicles — each linked to a dedicated service page.

£199 Starting price

Windscreen Camera Recalibration

Every GWM with a forward-facing camera — including models with Lane Departure Warning, Traffic Sign Recognition, and Autonomous Emergency Braking — requires camera recalibration after windscreen replacement. This is the most common GWM ADAS job we carry out.

Radar & Sensor Alignment

GWM models fitted with Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Detection, or Rear Cross Traffic Alert carry radar modules behind the bumper or grille. Any bodywork repair or bumper removal requires sensor recalibration using manufacturer-specific targets and procedures.

Post-Collision Full Check

After any collision repair involving a GWM, multiple ADAS sensors may be disturbed simultaneously — including cameras, radar modules, and parking sensors. A comprehensive post-collision calibration restores every system to factory tolerances and satisfies insurer documentation requirements.

GWM Coffee Pilot Systems We Calibrate

GWM uses the Coffee Intelligent Driving ecosystem across its vehicles. Here's what sits behind the branding:

  • Coffee Pilot - the umbrella name for all GWM driver assistance functions, processing via a Qualcomm Snapdragon chip
  • Auto Emergency Braking with Pedestrian & Cyclist Detection (AEB-P/B) - forward collision prevention at speeds up to 60 mph
  • Auto Emergency Braking - Junction Assist (AEB-JA) - detects crossing traffic at intersections
  • Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go (ACC) - radar-based cruise that manages traffic queues
  • Lane Keep Assist (LKA) and Lane Centring Function (LCF) - camera-based lane positioning
  • Blind Spot Detection (BD) - monitors adjacent lanes for overtaking vehicles
  • Rear Traffic Cross Alert & Brake (RTCA) - warns and brakes when reversing into cross traffic
  • 360° Surround View Camera - four exterior cameras providing parking overview
  • Driver Monitoring System (DMS) with Facial Recognition - cabin-facing camera that tracks driver attention and personalises settings

The forward-facing camera sits at the top of the windscreen behind the rear-view mirror. The front radar is integrated into the bumper. Twelve ultrasonic sensors are distributed around both bumpers. When any sensor is displaced - by a windscreen replacement, bumper repair, or collision - the connected systems lose calibration.

When Your GWM Needs ADAS Recalibration

After a Bumper Repair or Collision

The Ora 03 packs 12 ultrasonic sensors across its front and rear bumpers alongside the front radar. Even a minor parking scuff that requires bumper removal can displace multiple sensors simultaneously. If your Adaptive Cruise Control or Auto Emergency Braking stopped working after bodywork, the sensors need recalibration.

After Windscreen Replacement

The forward-facing camera behind the windscreen powers Lane Keep Assist, Lane Centring Function, Traffic Sign Recognition, and contributes to AEB. When the glass is replaced, the camera must be recalibrated - a job your windscreen fitter may not have the equipment for.

Dashboard Warnings on an Unfamiliar System

An Ora 03 owner recently noticed ACC and Lane Centring warnings after a low-speed car park bump. The body shop repaired the bumper cosmetically but had no experience with Coffee Pilot diagnostics. A single sensor recalibration appointment cleared every warning.

DMS Facial Recognition Camera Faults

The Driver Monitoring System uses a cabin-facing camera with facial recognition above the steering column. Dashboard or header work - even a dashcam installation that disturbs the mirror area - can misalign this camera. Most garages won't anticipate this calibration requirement because it faces inward, not outward.

GWM Models - Full ADAS Calibration Coverage

The Ora 03 (formerly Funky Cat) is GWM's primary UK model - a 5-star Euro NCAP electric hatchback with the full Coffee Pilot suite as standard. The Ora 03 Pro adds convenience features but uses identical ADAS hardware. Both sit on the Lemon platform, which is shared with Haval SUV models.

We calibrate ADAS systems on 2 GWM models.
