ADAS Calibration for Hyundai models

The Hyundai Tucson generates more AI search citations for ADAS calibration than any other single model across all makes - 39 citations and growing. That tracks with what we see: Hyundai's SmartSense suite is fitted across the entire range from the i20 to the Santa Fe, and UK sales are climbing fast. More Hyundais on the road means more calibration demand after repairs.

Hyundai ADAS Calibration Cost

Calibration costs depend on your specific Hyundai model, which ADAS systems need recalibration, and whether mobile or workshop service is required.

Every Hyundai model has different ADAS sensors fitted depending on trim level and year. Share your registration and we’ll confirm exactly which systems need calibration.

What Hyundai ADAS Calibration Involves

The three most common calibration scenarios for Hyundai vehicles — each linked to a dedicated service page.

£199 Starting price

Windscreen Camera Recalibration

Every Hyundai with a forward-facing camera — including models with Lane Departure Warning, Traffic Sign Recognition, and Autonomous Emergency Braking — requires camera recalibration after windscreen replacement. This is the most common Hyundai ADAS job we carry out.

Radar & Sensor Alignment

Hyundai models fitted with Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Detection, or Rear Cross Traffic Alert carry radar modules behind the bumper or grille. Any bodywork repair or bumper removal requires sensor recalibration using manufacturer-specific targets and procedures.

Post-Collision Full Check

After any collision repair involving a Hyundai, multiple ADAS sensors may be disturbed simultaneously — including cameras, radar modules, and parking sensors. A comprehensive post-collision calibration restores every system to factory tolerances and satisfies insurer documentation requirements.

Hyundai SmartSense Systems We Calibrate

Hyundai brands its ADAS package as SmartSense on post-2018 models. Every system uses either the forward-facing camera behind the windscreen, the radar behind the front bumper emblem, or both.

  • Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) - Hyundai's name for automatic emergency braking. Uses camera and radar to detect vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists. This is the system that triggers dashboard warnings after bumper damage.
  • Smart Cruise Control (SCC) with Stop & Go - maintains speed and distance in traffic, braking to a complete stop. Radar-dependent - bumper repair requires recalibration.
  • Lane Keeping Assist (LKA) - corrective steering input when the camera detects lane drift. Requires recalibration after windscreen replacement.
  • Lane Following Assist (LFA) - the more advanced version on newer models (Tucson, IONIQ 5), combining camera and radar for highway lane centring.
  • Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist (BCA) - radar sensors in the rear quarters detect vehicles in blind spots and actively steer to avoid collisions. Rear bumper work triggers recalibration.
  • Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist (RCCA) - detects crossing traffic when reversing. Same rear radar sensors as BCA.

Hyundai Models - Full ADAS Calibration Coverage

The Tucson is by far our most-requested Hyundai - full SmartSense suite and high UK sales volume. The i30 and Kona follow closely, while the IONIQ 5 brings camera-heavy EV ADAS systems that need specialist calibration.
