Hyundai i10 ADAS Calibration

You might not expect Hyundai's city car to need ADAS calibration – but the third-generation i10 (AC3, 2019+) comes with Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist and Lane Keeping Assist as standard across all UK trims. The i10 relies almost entirely on a single windscreen-mounted camera for these systems, making it one of the simplest Hyundai calibrations we perform – and one of the most commonly missed after glass replacement.

ADAS Systems on the Hyundai i10

The third-generation i10 (AC3, 2019+) has a minimal but functional ADAS setup. Earlier i10 models have no active safety systems and no calibration requirement.

  • Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) – camera-only AEB on the i10. Unlike larger Hyundais that use camera-plus-radar for FCA, the i10 relies solely on the windscreen camera. This means FCA range and response speed are more limited than on the Kona or Tucson.
  • Lane Keeping Assist (LKA) – camera-based lane departure warning with corrective steering. Standard from factory.
  • Driver Attention Warning (DAW) – monitors steering patterns for signs of fatigue.
  • High Beam Assist (HBA) – automatic switching on higher trims.

The i10 does not have Smart Cruise Control, Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist, or any radar-based systems. There is no forward radar behind the bumper. All ADAS functions run through the single forward-facing camera behind the windscreen.

Why Your i10 Might Need Calibration

After windscreen replacement

Every ADAS function on the i10 depends on the windscreen camera. When the glass is replaced, the camera must be recalibrated – otherwise FCA and LKA are both offline. This is the primary calibration trigger for the i10, and it's frequently missed by glass fitting companies who assume a city car doesn't have ADAS.

After a front-end impact

Even without a forward radar, a significant front-end impact can shift the windscreen camera mounting bracket. If your i10's FCA warning light appeared after a collision – even one that didn't crack the glass – the camera alignment may have been disturbed.
