Infiniti Q70 ADAS Calibration

The Infiniti Q70 was Infiniti's executive saloon – sold in the UK until 2019 and originally badged as the M-series. Its ADAS suite is more basic than the newer Q50, relying on Intelligent Cruise Control and Forward Collision Warning without the advanced lane-keeping systems found on later models. But the radar behind the front grille still needs calibration after any bumper work, and with Infiniti gone from the UK, finding a workshop with the right equipment gets harder every year.

ADAS Systems on Your Infiniti Q70

The Q70 carries an earlier generation of Infiniti's Safety Shield:

  • Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC) – radar-based adaptive cruise, front radar behind the grille
  • Forward Collision Warning (FCW) – alerts to imminent collisions using front radar data
  • Blind Spot Warning (BSW) – rear bumper sensors detect vehicles in adjacent lanes
  • Around View Monitor (AVM) – four cameras providing a bird's-eye parking view
  • Lane Departure Warning (LDW) – audible alert when crossing lane markings

The Q70 lacks Forward Emergency Braking – its collision warning is an alert only, without automatic braking intervention. The sensor architecture is Nissan-derived, with the front radar behind the grille and camera at the windscreen top.

When Your Infiniti Q70 Needs ADAS Calibration

After Front Bumper or Grille Repair

ICC and Forward Collision Warning share the grille-mounted radar. Any front-end repair involving bumper or grille removal can shift this sensor. If your Q70's cruise control stopped responding after bodywork, radar recalibration restores the system.

After Windscreen Replacement

The forward camera supports Lane Departure Warning and enhances FCW accuracy. Replacing the windscreen means recalibrating this camera – a step that's easy to miss on a car with no UK dealer network to refer back to. Our windscreen calibration covers it at £199.

Around View Monitor Distortion

The Q70's AVM uses four cameras including two in the side mirrors. Mirror replacements and panel repairs around camera positions produce distorted parking views. See all Infiniti models we calibrate

Infiniti Q70 ADAS Calibration — FAQ

Common questions about calibrating ADAS systems on the Infiniti Q70

No. The Q70 has Forward Collision Warning, which alerts you to an imminent collision, but it does not brake automatically. The newer Q50 and Q60 have Forward Emergency Braking (FEB) with automatic brake intervention.
