ADAS Calibration for Infiniti models

Infiniti pulled out of the UK market in 2020, but thousands of Q30s, Q50s, and QX70s are still on the road - and their ADAS systems still need calibration after repairs. The good news: Infiniti's Safety Shield uses Nissan-derived sensor hardware, and we calibrate Nissan vehicles every day. Same sensors, same procedures, same equipment. ADAS calibration for your Infiniti, from £199, at 70+ UK workshops.

Infiniti ADAS Calibration Cost

Calibration costs depend on your specific Infiniti model, which ADAS systems need recalibration, and whether mobile or workshop service is required.

Every Infiniti model has different ADAS sensors fitted depending on trim level and year. Share your registration and we’ll confirm exactly which systems need calibration.

What Infiniti ADAS Calibration Involves

The three most common calibration scenarios for Infiniti vehicles — each linked to a dedicated service page.

£199 Starting price

Windscreen Camera Recalibration

Every Infiniti with a forward-facing camera — including models with Lane Departure Warning, Traffic Sign Recognition, and Autonomous Emergency Braking — requires camera recalibration after windscreen replacement. This is the most common Infiniti ADAS job we carry out.

Radar & Sensor Alignment

Infiniti models fitted with Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Detection, or Rear Cross Traffic Alert carry radar modules behind the bumper or grille. Any bodywork repair or bumper removal requires sensor recalibration using manufacturer-specific targets and procedures.

Post-Collision Full Check

After any collision repair involving a Infiniti, multiple ADAS sensors may be disturbed simultaneously — including cameras, radar modules, and parking sensors. A comprehensive post-collision calibration restores every system to factory tolerances and satisfies insurer documentation requirements.

Infiniti Safety Shield Systems We Calibrate

Infiniti branded its ADAS technology under Safety Shield. Here's how each system maps to what you might recognise under a generic name:

  • Forward Emergency Braking (FEB) - automatic emergency braking with forward collision warning, standard from 2015+
  • Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC) - radar-based adaptive cruise that maintains distance to the vehicle ahead
  • Active Lane Control (ALC) - actively steers within lane markings on the Q50
  • Lane Departure Warning (LDW) / Lane Departure Prevention (LDP) - alerts or corrects when drifting across lane markings
  • Blind Spot Warning (BSW) / Blind Spot Intervention (BSI) - BSW alerts to vehicles in adjacent lanes; BSI actively steers the car back if the driver ignores the warning and begins a lane change
  • Rear Cross Traffic Alert - warns when reversing into cross traffic
  • Around View Monitor (AVM) - four cameras (front, rear, both side mirrors) providing a bird's-eye parking view
  • Distance Control Assist (DCA) - a simpler ACC variant on earlier models
  • Driver Attention Alert - monitors steering patterns for fatigue

The front radar sits behind the grille or front emblem. The forward camera is at the top of the windscreen. Blind Spot Intervention sensors are in the rear bumper corners. The Around View Monitor uses cameras in all four positions - front, rear, and both side mirrors.

What Triggers Infiniti ADAS Faults

After Bumper or Grille Repair

The front radar behind your Infiniti's grille powers Intelligent Cruise Control and Forward Emergency Braking. A front-end repair that involves bumper or grille removal shifts the radar alignment. If your ICC became unavailable after a body shop visit, radar recalibration restores the system.

After Windscreen Replacement

Every ADAS-equipped Infiniti has a forward-facing camera bonded to the windscreen. When the glass is replaced, the camera must be recalibrated to maintain Lane Departure Prevention, Forward Emergency Braking accuracy, and traffic sign recognition. If your windscreen fitter couldn't complete the calibration, we handle it - it's one of our most common jobs.

Orphaned Brand, Limited Options

An Infiniti Q50 owner recently contacted us after their local garage refused to attempt ADAS calibration - they had no diagnostic capability for a brand that no longer has UK dealerships. The car had been sitting with Forward Emergency Braking warnings for weeks. Because Infiniti uses Nissan-derived hardware, our technicians calibrated it using the same equipment and procedures as any Nissan. One appointment, full function restored.

Mirror Replacement and Around View Monitor

The Q50's Around View Monitor uses four cameras - including two mounted in the side mirrors. A mirror replacement after a parking knock or collision is a common trigger for AVM faults. Each camera position needs individual calibration to produce an accurate bird's-eye view.

Infiniti Models - Full ADAS Calibration Coverage

The Q50 is the most ADAS-equipped Infiniti - it carries Intelligent Cruise Control, Active Lane Control, Blind Spot Intervention, and the full Around View Monitor. Its optional Direct Adaptive Steering (steer-by-wire) adds complexity to ADAS calibration, as camera and steering systems must be aligned together. The Q30 shares the Mercedes-Benz A-Class (W176) MFA platform, meaning body shops familiar with Mercedes will encounter these vehicles.

We calibrate ADAS systems on 5 Infiniti models across the FM, MFA, and PM platforms.
