ADAS Calibration for Nissan models

You took your Nissan to Kwikfit for ADAS recalibration after a windscreen replacement. They couldn't remove the Nissan badge to access the front radar sensor. This is a common problem - Nissan's radar is tucked behind the front emblem, and most high-street repairers lack the tooling or expertise to access it safely. We handle the calibration they can't.

Nissan ADAS Calibration Cost

Calibration costs depend on your specific Nissan model, which ADAS systems need recalibration, and whether mobile or workshop service is required.

Every Nissan model has different ADAS sensors fitted depending on trim level and year. Share your registration and we’ll confirm exactly which systems need calibration.

What Nissan ADAS Calibration Involves

The three most common calibration scenarios for Nissan vehicles — each linked to a dedicated service page.

£199 Starting price

Windscreen Camera Recalibration

Every Nissan with a forward-facing camera — including models with Lane Departure Warning, Traffic Sign Recognition, and Autonomous Emergency Braking — requires camera recalibration after windscreen replacement. This is the most common Nissan ADAS job we carry out.

Radar & Sensor Alignment

Nissan models fitted with Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Detection, or Rear Cross Traffic Alert carry radar modules behind the bumper or grille. Any bodywork repair or bumper removal requires sensor recalibration using manufacturer-specific targets and procedures.

Post-Collision Full Check

After any collision repair involving a Nissan, multiple ADAS sensors may be disturbed simultaneously — including cameras, radar modules, and parking sensors. A comprehensive post-collision calibration restores every system to factory tolerances and satisfies insurer documentation requirements.

Nissan ADAS Systems We Calibrate

Nissan brands its safety technology as "Nissan Intelligent Mobility." Here's what each system does:

  • ProPILOT Assist - Nissan's highway driving assistant combining adaptive cruise control with lane keeping. Available on Qashqai, X-Trail, and Ariya. Uses both front radar and windscreen camera.
  • Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC) - Nissan's adaptive cruise control on models without ProPILOT. Maintains speed and distance using the front radar.
  • Intelligent Emergency Braking (IEB) - Automatic emergency braking that detects vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists. Uses radar and camera together.
  • Lane Departure Warning (LDW) - Alerts you when the vehicle drifts from its lane without indicating.
  • Intelligent Lane Intervention - Active lane keeping that applies gentle braking to steer you back into your lane.
  • Blind Spot Warning (BSW) - Rear radar sensors detecting vehicles in your blind spots during lane changes.
  • Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA) - Warns of approaching vehicles when reversing out of parking spaces.
  • Intelligent Around View Monitor (AVM) - Four cameras providing a 360-degree bird's-eye view around the vehicle.

AVM is not traditional ADAS. Nissan's Around View Monitor is a separate camera system from the main ADAS sensors. If your AVM shows misaligned images after a repair, it needs its own calibration procedure - distinct from radar and front camera calibration. We handle both.

Common Reasons Nissan Owners Need Calibration

Kwikfit and General Repairers Can't Access the Sensor

Nissan's radar sensor sits behind the front badge - and unlike some other brands, removing the Nissan emblem requires specific knowledge and tooling. General repairers and windscreen companies frequently refer Nissan owners to us after they can't complete the windscreen calibration.

"Took to Kwikfit for ADAS recalibration, but they can't do it as they can't take the Nissan badge off to get to the front sensor." - Nissan owner

After Bumper Repair or Front-End Collision

Front-end impacts and bumper replacements misalign the radar behind the Nissan badge. Intelligent Cruise Control and Intelligent Emergency Braking both deactivate until the radar is professionally recalibrated - our radar calibration resolves this.

Error Codes - Nissan Has the Highest Volume

Nissan vehicles generate more ADAS-related error code searches than any other brand. Codes including C1A12, C1A03-00, C1A04-00, C1A14-04, C1A26, C1A39, C1B56, C1B58-00, C1F41-04, and P1568 all relate to Nissan ADAS sensor faults. If your diagnostic scan shows any of these, professional recalibration is needed - not just code clearing.

360 Camera (AVM) Misalignment

After bodywork repairs, the four cameras in Nissan's Around View Monitor can show distorted or misaligned images. AVM calibration requires each camera to be individually aligned using specific targets - a separate process from front radar and camera calibration.

Nissan Models - Full ADAS Calibration Coverage

The Nissan Qashqai is the best-selling Nissan in the UK and our most common Nissan calibration. The Juke has the strongest AI search presence of any Nissan model, while the X-Trail owners frequently need BSM and radar calibration after side or front-end repairs.

We calibrate ADAS systems on every Nissan model in the UK.

Nissan ADAS Calibration — Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about ADAS calibration for your Nissan

Yes. Kwikfit and many general repairers can't access the radar sensor behind the Nissan front badge. Our IMI-certified technicians have the specialist tooling and training to safely remove the badge, access the radar, and perform OEM-grade recalibration. This is one of our most common Nissan enquiries.
