Jaguar XF ADAS Calibration

The Jaguar XF is an executive saloon – and executive saloons cover serious motorway miles where Adaptive Cruise Control with Steering Assist and Lane Keep Assist get daily use. When a windscreen replacement or front-end repair takes those systems offline, XF owners notice immediately. If your XF's Drive Assist warnings appeared after a repair, ADAS calibration from £199 restores the systems you rely on every commute.

ADAS Systems on the Jaguar XF

The XF has been available in both saloon and Sportbrake (estate) forms, with ADAS evolving across two generations:

XF (X250, 2007–2015): Limited ADAS. Later models (2013+) offered optional Emergency Braking and basic cruise control, but no radar-based adaptive systems. These models rarely need ADAS calibration beyond parking sensor recalibration.

XF (X260, 2015–present): Full Drive Assist suite on the aluminium platform shared with the XE. Includes Adaptive Cruise Control with Steering Assist, Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist, Blind Spot Assist, Rear Traffic Monitor, and Driver Condition Monitor. The front radar sits behind the lower grille; the forward camera mounts behind the windscreen.

Sportbrake-specific note: The XF Sportbrake (estate) has the same front sensor layout as the saloon, but the longer rear overhang means the rear parking sensors and Rear Traffic Monitor sensors sit further back. After rear-end repairs on the Sportbrake, rear sensor recalibration covers a wider area than on the saloon.

Common XF ADAS Calibration Triggers

Motorway stone damage and windscreen replacement: XF owners cover more motorway miles than most – stone chips leading to windscreen replacement are a frequent trigger. The windscreen camera controlling Lane Keep Assist, Traffic Sign Recognition, and High Beam Assist needs static calibration after every glass replacement. The XF's upright windscreen angle makes camera calibration straightforward compared to sportier Jaguars.

Front-end collision repair: The XF's front radar behind the lower grille handles Emergency Braking and ACC. Front-end impacts from motorway debris, rear-end shunts into the car ahead, or even a minor grille replacement shift the radar. Both systems deactivate until the sensor is professionally recalibrated.

Insurance repairs and Cat S/N vehicles: The XF appears regularly in the UK salvage market. If you've purchased a Cat S or Cat N XF with prior front-end damage, the ADAS sensors may not have been recalibrated during the repair. If ACC or Emergency Braking aren't functioning, radar calibration is the likely fix.

Jaguar XF ADAS Calibration — FAQ

Common questions about calibrating ADAS systems on the Jaguar XF

The front sensor layout is identical — same radar, same camera, same positions. The Sportbrake has a different rear sensor configuration due to its longer body, so after rear-end repairs, the Rear Traffic Monitor and Blind Spot Assist recalibration accounts for the wider sensor spacing. We calibrate both body styles. See all Jaguar models.
