Lexus CT ADAS Calibration

The CT was Lexus's compact hybrid hatchback – discontinued in 2022 but still widely driven across the UK. The 2017 facelift added LSS+ 1.0, making post-facelift CTs the earliest Lexus models with proper ADAS requiring calibration. If your CT (2017-2022) is showing Pre-Collision System warnings after a bumper repair or windscreen replacement, the sensors need recalibrating despite the model being out of production.

ADAS Systems on Your Lexus CT

The CT has two distinct configurations:

Pre-facelift (2011-2016):

  • No LSS+ – basic parking sensors and reversing camera only. No ADAS calibration needed.

Post-facelift (2017-2022) – LSS+ 1.0:

  • Pre-Collision System (PCS) – basic AEB with pedestrian detection. Front radar and windscreen camera.
  • Lane Departure Alert (LDA) – windscreen camera.
  • Automatic High Beam (AHB) – camera-based headlight dipping.

The CT carries LSS+ 1.0 – the earliest generation, with fewer features than the 2.0 found on the ES or the 3.0 on the NX. No DRCC (cruise control is non-adaptive), no Lane Tracing Assist, no Blind Spot Monitor. But PCS and LDA still rely on radar and camera sensors that require calibration after bodywork.

The CT uses a pre-TNGA platform (MC platform), which means sensor positions differ slightly from newer TNGA-based Lexus models.

When Your Lexus CT Needs Calibration

After Bumper Repair

The CT is a compact hatchback used for city driving – front bumper contact with bollards, car park barriers, and kerbs is common. The PCS radar behind the grille needs recalibration after bumper removal or repair.

After Windscreen Replacement

LDA and AHB depend on the windscreen camera. Every windscreen replacement on a post-facelift CT requires camera recalibration.

Pre-Facelift CTs – No Calibration Needed

If your CT is a 2011-2016 model, it has no LSS+ and no ADAS sensors requiring calibration. Parking sensors may need functional checks after bumper work, but no radar or camera calibration is involved.

Lexus CT Calibration Pricing

ServicePrice
Windscreen Calibration£199
Radar/Sensor Calibration£349
Collision Calibration£349
Full System Reset£499

The CT with LSS+ 1.0 has fewer sensors than newer models – front radar recalibration at £349 or windscreen camera at £199 covers the relevant systems.

Lexus CT ADAS Calibration — FAQ

Common questions about calibrating ADAS systems on the Lexus CT

Yes — production ended in 2022. The LBX (2024+) is the spiritual successor as Lexus's smallest model, now with LSS+ 3.0. But thousands of CTs remain on UK roads, and the calibration requirement applies for as long as the LSS+ sensors are present. See all Lexus models
