Lexus NX ADAS Calibration

The NX is the best-selling Lexus in the UK – and the second generation (2022+) carries LSS+ 3.0, the most sensor-dense generation of Lexus Safety System+. That means more calibration points after any repair than any previous NX: front radar behind the grille, windscreen camera, blind spot sensors, and ultrasonic parking sensors. If your NX is showing "PCS malfunction" or "LDA unavailable" after a bumper repair or windscreen replacement, recalibration resolves it.

ADAS Systems on Your Lexus NX

The current NX (2022+) runs on the TNGA-K platform shared with Toyota – the same sensor hardware as Toyota Safety Sense, rebranded as Lexus Safety System+ 3.0:

  • Pre-Collision System (PCS) – automatic emergency braking with pedestrian, cyclist, and motorcycle detection. Uses the front radar behind the grille and the windscreen camera.
  • Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) – full-speed adaptive cruise. Same front radar as PCS.
  • Lane Departure Alert (LDA) – camera-based lane monitoring.
  • Lane Tracing Assist (LTA) – active lane centering on motorways.
  • Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) – rear bumper corner radar sensors.
  • Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA) – warns when reversing from parking.
  • Road Sign Assist (RSA) – camera-based speed limit reading.
  • Proactive Driving Assist (PDA) – AI-based hazard prediction unique to LSS+ 3.0, adjusting speed and steering for anticipated risks.

The front radar sits behind the Lexus emblem in the grille – the same position as on Toyota models. The windscreen camera is behind the rear-view mirror. Both are standard on every NX trim.

Why Your Lexus NX Might Need ADAS Calibration

After Bumper Repair or Grille Work

The NX's front radar powers both PCS and DRCC. Any work involving the front bumper, grille, or Lexus emblem area shifts this radar. "PCS malfunction" on the dashboard after bodywork means the radar is misaligned. Our £349 radar calibration resolves it.

After Windscreen Replacement

LDA, LTA, RSA, and PDA all depend on the windscreen camera. Every windscreen replacement on the NX requires camera recalibration – the glass change shifts the camera from its factory-set position. If your windscreen fitter couldn't complete the calibration, we handle it.

Dashboard Warnings Without Obvious Cause

LSS+ 3.0 is sensitive to sensor drift over time. If your NX starts showing PCS or LDA warnings without any recent repair or collision, the sensors may have shifted from vibration, minor impacts, or wheel alignment changes. A diagnostic scan identifies the cause.

Lexus NX ADAS Calibration — FAQ

Common questions about calibrating ADAS systems on the Lexus NX

Very similar. The NX and RAV4 share the TNGA-K platform. LSS+ 3.0 on the NX is the same hardware as Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 on the RAV4 — same radar, same camera, same calibration procedures. Our Toyota expertise applies directly. See all Lexus models
