Maserati GranCabrio ADAS Calibration

The GranCabrio is Maserati's open-top grand tourer – a convertible built on the Giorgio platform with the full Highway Assist System. If your GranCabrio's Active Blind Spot Assist has started intervening unexpectedly after side panel work, the rear-quarter sensors are likely misaligned and need professional recalibration.

ADAS Sensors on the GranCabrio

The GranCabrio (2024+) carries the full Maserati ADAS suite – identical to the GranTurismo on the same Giorgio platform. Highway Assist System, ACC, AEB, Lane Keeping Assist, Active Blind Spot Assist, Surround View Camera, and Intersection Collision Assist are all present. For the complete sensor breakdown, see the GranTurismo ADAS specification.

The convertible roof does not house or obstruct any sensors – the front radar sits behind the Trident badge, the camera is behind the rearview mirror, and the blind spot sensors mount in the rear quarters, all on the fixed body structure. What differs is usage: GranCabrio owners drive roof-down on longer journeys, exposing the windscreen camera to more direct sunlight and debris accumulation that can trigger soft faults before any genuine calibration issue develops.

Common Calibration Triggers for the GranCabrio

Front bumper or grille repair: The GranCabrio's long nose and low stance make front-end parking contacts common. The radar behind the Trident powers ACC, AEB, and HAS – any grille or bumper work triggers recalibration.

Windscreen replacement: The forward camera handles LKA, LDW, TSR, and contributes to HAS and AEB. A windscreen replacement requires camera recalibration – our £199 service restores all camera-dependent systems.

After side panel or mirror work: ABSA sensors in the rear quarters provide active steering correction during lane changes. If these sensors are misaligned after bodywork, ABSA may intervene when it should not – or fail to protect when it should. Both outcomes require immediate recalibration.

Maserati GranCabrio ADAS Calibration — FAQ

Common questions about calibrating ADAS systems on the Maserati GranCabrio

Yes. The GranCabrio and GranTurismo share the Giorgio platform and identical ADAS sensor hardware. The convertible roof does not affect sensor positions or calibration procedures. See all Maserati models we calibrate
