Mazda CX-60 ADAS Calibration

The Mazda CX-60 is the first rear-wheel-drive Mazda in over a decade – built on an entirely new large-platform architecture that shares nothing with the front-wheel-drive CX-5 or CX-30. This new platform brings a different sensor layout, different radar mounting positions, and Mazda's latest i-Activsense technology. If your CX-60's MRCC or SBS warnings appeared after bodywork, the calibration procedure is specific to this new architecture – older Mazda protocols do not apply.

ADAS Systems on the Mazda CX-60

The CX-60 (2022+) launched with the most advanced i-Activsense suite Mazda has ever offered:

  • Mazda Radar Cruise Control (MRCC) with Stop & Go – front radar behind the Mazda emblem, with full-speed-range adaptive cruise control including traffic jam capability
  • Smart Brake Support (SBS) – high-speed AEB using front radar, now with intersection turn-across detection
  • Smart City Brake Support (SCBS) – low-speed AEB with pedestrian and cyclist detection
  • Lane-keep Assist System (LAS) – windscreen camera with active steering intervention
  • Cruising & Traffic Support (CTS) – combines MRCC with LAS for semi-autonomous driving at highway speeds
  • Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) – rear radar sensors in the bumper corners
  • Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) with braking – automatically brakes if reversing into cross-traffic
  • Driver Monitoring System – interior camera that watches for driver inattention (new to Mazda on this platform)
  • 360-Degree View Monitor – four cameras providing a bird's-eye parking view

The CX-60's large platform is longitudinal (rear-wheel-drive biased) – a fundamental shift from every other current Mazda. Calibration targets are specific to the CX-60's dimensions. The CX-80 shares this platform.

When Your CX-60 Needs i-Activsense Recalibration

After frontal collision or bumper repair: The CX-60's front radar sits behind the emblem, same concept as other Mazdas – but calibrated to the large platform's specific geometry. The CX-60's longer bonnet and different weight distribution compared to the CX-5 mean the calibration reference plane is different. MRCC, SBS, and the new intersection-detect feature all depend on this single radar being precisely aligned.

After windscreen replacement: LAS, CTS, LDWS, TSR, and the Driver Monitoring System all use cameras. The windscreen camera handles external-facing functions; the interior camera monitors the driver. Windscreen replacement requires our Windscreen Calibration (£199) for the forward camera at minimum.

After bodywork near 360-degree cameras: The four surround-view cameras are integrated into the body panels and tailgate. Panel repair or respray near a camera mount can shift the lens, distorting the bird's-eye image.

Mazda CX-60 Calibration Pricing

ServicePrice
Windscreen Calibration£199
Radar/Sensor Calibration£349
Collision Calibration£349
Full System Reset£499

The CX-60's advanced i-Activsense suite means collision repairs often require our £349 Collision Calibration – covering the front radar and camera systems affected by frontal impact. For windscreen-only work, our £199 rate applies.

Mazda CX-60 ADAS Calibration — FAQ

Common questions about calibrating ADAS systems on the Mazda CX-60

No. The CX-60 uses Mazda's new large-platform architecture — longitudinal engine, rear-wheel-drive biased — which is fundamentally different from the CX-5's transverse, front-wheel-drive SkyActiv platform. Sensor positions, calibration targets, and diagnostic procedures are all different. A CX-5 calibration procedure does not apply to a CX-60.
