MG EHS PHEV ADAS Calibration

The MG EHS is the plug-in hybrid variant of MG's mid-size SUV – carrying the most comprehensive MG Pilot suite in the combustion-powered range, including a 360° camera system. If your EHS PHEV's Adaptive Cruise Control or Traffic Jam Assist has stopped working after bumper work, the Bosch front radar needs recalibration with professional-grade equipment.

ADAS Systems on Your MG EHS PHEV

The EHS PHEV (2020+) carries the fullest MG Pilot specification of any MG hybrid:

  • Active Emergency Braking (AEB) – Bosch front radar and windscreen camera detecting vehicles and pedestrians
  • Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) – Bosch radar module behind the front grille
  • Lane Keep Assist (LKA) and Lane Departure Warning (LDW) – windscreen camera behind the rearview mirror
  • Blind Spot Detection (BSD) – rear-quarter sensors monitoring adjacent lanes
  • Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) – rear sensors detecting approaching vehicles when reversing
  • Traffic Jam Assist (TJA) – combines ACC and LKA for semi-autonomous low-speed driving
  • Intelligent Speed Limit Assist (ISLA) – camera-based speed limit adjustment
  • 360° Camera System – surround-view parking from four cameras

The 360° camera system distinguishes the EHS PHEV from the standard HS. The Bosch front radar module sits behind the front grille – the same supplier used in VW, BMW, and Mercedes vehicles.

Common MG Pilot Triggers on the EHS PHEV

After front bumper repair: The Bosch radar module behind the grille is the most common calibration trigger. SUV bumpers take hits from car park barriers, shopping trolleys, and low-speed collisions. If ACC or AEB warnings have appeared on the dashboard after bodywork, the radar needs recalibration.

After windscreen replacement: The forward camera controls LKA, LDW, ISLA, and TJA. A new windscreen shifts the camera alignment – all four systems go offline until recalibrated.

After side or rear bodywork: BSD sensors in the rear quarters and RCTA sensors in the rear bumper are affected by panel repairs. The 360° camera system also needs recalibration if any camera mount has been disturbed during bodywork.

MG EHS PHEV ADAS Calibration — FAQ

Common questions about calibrating ADAS systems on the MG EHS PHEV

The EHS PHEV adds the 360° camera system to the standard HS MG Pilot package. Both share the Bosch front radar, windscreen camera, BSD, and RCTA. The plug-in hybrid drivetrain does not affect ADAS calibration — only the additional 360° camera system differs. See all MG models we calibrate
