Peugeot e-408 ADAS Calibration

Peugeot positions the e-408 as a fastback crossover that blends saloon styling with SUV ground clearance – and it carries one of the most comprehensive Drive Assist packages in the Peugeot range. The e-408's fully electric drivetrain relies on accurate radar data to coordinate Adaptive Cruise Control with regenerative braking. If your e-408's ACC is braking inconsistently after a repair, or Active Safety Brake warnings have appeared, the sensors need professional recalibration.

ADAS Systems on Your Peugeot e-408

The e-408 (2024+) sits on the Stellantis STLA Medium platform with the full Drive Assist suite:

  • Active Safety Brake – Peugeot's automatic emergency braking using both the windscreen camera and front radar. Standard across all trims.
  • Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go – radar-based distance management. On the e-408, ACC integrates with regenerative braking for smoother, more energy-efficient deceleration.
  • Lane Keeping Assist – windscreen camera monitors lane markings with active steering correction.
  • Lane Departure Warning – visual and audible alert for unintentional lane crossing.
  • Blind Spot Monitoring – rear-quarter radar sensors detect vehicles alongside.
  • Driver Attention Alert – steering pattern monitoring for drowsiness.
  • Visio Park (360° Camera) – surround-view camera system for parking, available on higher trims.

The radar sits behind the front bumper panel. The forward camera is mounted behind the windscreen within the i-Cockpit layout – the same technology family as the petrol 408, but sharing the electric platform's sensor calibration profile.

When Your Peugeot e-408 Needs Calibration

After bumper repair or front-end work

The e-408's sleek front fascia integrates the radar sensor behind the lower grille. Any bumper repair, respray, or collision work on the front end can shift the radar. ACC and Active Safety Brake will deactivate or display warnings until the radar is recalibrated.

After windscreen replacement

Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Departure Warning, and the camera element of Active Safety Brake depend on the i-Cockpit windscreen camera. Glass replacement without camera calibration leaves these systems offline. This is the most common trigger across all Peugeot models.

Regenerative braking coordination

The e-408's ACC uses radar distance data to blend regenerative and friction braking. If the radar alignment shifts, the system misjudges closing distances and falls back on mechanical braking – reducing efficiency and range. You'll notice this as harsher, less predictable deceleration during ACC operation.

Peugeot e-408 ADAS Calibration — FAQ

Common questions about calibrating ADAS systems on the Peugeot e-408

The sensor hardware and positions are the same. The difference is software-level: the e-408's ACC integrates with the electric drivetrain's regenerative braking. Calibration procedures are identical — our IMI-certified technicians handle both versions with the same OEM-grade equipment.
