Peugeot e-5008 ADAS Calibration

Seven seats, a fully electric drivetrain, and one of Peugeot's most advanced Drive Assist packages – the e-5008 is a family SUV where every ADAS sensor matters. Its larger body means more surface area exposed to car park scrapes and front-end damage, and the comprehensive sensor suite means even a minor bumper repair can affect multiple systems at once. If your e-5008 is showing Active Safety Brake or ACC warnings after bodywork, all the sensors from the original repair need checking – not just the one throwing the error.

ADAS Systems on Your Peugeot e-5008

The e-5008 (2024+) runs on the Stellantis STLA Medium platform with the full Drive Assist suite plus features specific to its size:

  • Active Safety Brake – automatic emergency braking using the front radar and windscreen camera. Detects vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists.
  • Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go – radar-based. On the e-5008, ACC coordinates with regenerative braking for energy-efficient deceleration, particularly important given the vehicle's higher mass.
  • Lane Keeping Assist – camera-based corrective steering. Essential for a wide SUV that fills lane markings more closely.
  • Blind Spot Monitoring – rear-quarter radar sensors. Especially valuable on the e-5008 due to its larger blind spots compared to a hatchback.
  • Rear Cross Traffic Alert – warns of approaching vehicles when reversing out of parking bays.
  • Visio Park (360° Camera) – surround-view parking system with cameras in all four corners. Standard on most e-5008 trims given its size.
  • Driver Attention Alert – monitors steering patterns for fatigue on long family journeys.

The radar sits behind the front bumper. The windscreen camera is mounted within Peugeot's i-Cockpit layout. The e-5008's sensor positions mirror the petrol 5008, with identical calibration requirements.

Common e-5008 ADAS Calibration Triggers

After front-end collision or bumper work

The e-5008's larger front profile makes it more susceptible to parking impacts and low-speed collisions. The radar behind the front bumper controls ACC and Active Safety Brake – any bumper removal, replacement, or panel straightening requires radar recalibration.

After windscreen replacement

The e-5008's windscreen is larger than a hatchback's, making stone chip damage more common. After glass replacement, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Departure Warning, and the camera element of Active Safety Brake need recalibration. Given the vehicle's width, accurate Lane Keeping calibration matters more – misaligned readings can cause unnecessary steering corrections.

Visio Park after bumper work

The e-5008's 360° camera array includes components integrated into both bumpers. Front or rear bumper work can shift individual cameras, producing a misaligned stitched image in the surround view. If the parking overlay doesn't match reality after a repair, the camera array needs recalibrating.

Peugeot e-5008 ADAS Calibration — FAQ

Common questions about calibrating ADAS systems on the Peugeot e-5008

No. The e-5008 uses identical ADAS hardware in the same positions as the petrol 5008. Calibration procedures are the same. The only difference is how ACC interacts with the electric drivetrain's regenerative braking.
