Peugeot 5008 ADAS Calibration

Peugeot's 7-seat SUV carries a full Drive Assist suite protecting a vehicle that's often loaded with passengers – making correctly calibrated ADAS systems especially critical. If your 5008's Adaptive Cruise Control or Active Safety Brake has deactivated after a repair, every sensor needs professional recalibration before the system will trust its own readings again. ADAS Line handles the full Drive Assist suite at 70+ UK workshops with fixed pricing.

ADAS Systems on Your Peugeot 5008

The 5008 shares its EMP2 platform with the 3008 and 508, and carries a similar Drive Assist package – but the 5008's larger body and higher ride height change where impacts typically affect sensors.

First generation (2017–2024): Drive Assist available from Allure trim upwards. Active Safety Brake standard.

Second generation (2024+): Full Drive Assist 2.0 standard across all trims:

  • Active Safety Brake – front radar and windscreen camera fusion. Standard on all trims.
  • Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go – radar behind the front bumper.
  • Active Lane Keeping Assist – windscreen camera monitors lane markings with corrective steering.
  • Blind Spot Monitoring – rear quarter radar sensors.
  • 360 Vision (Visio Park) – four surround-view cameras. More common on the 5008 than on smaller Peugeots due to its size and parking difficulty.
  • Rear Cross Traffic Alert – warns of approaching vehicles when reversing.

The forward radar sits behind the lower front bumper panel, and the windscreen camera is housed in the i-Cockpit module behind the rearview mirror.

Why Your Peugeot 5008 Might Need Calibration

Car park and low-speed impacts

The 5008's length and width make it a frequent visitor to body shops for parking-related front and rear bumper damage. Even a low-speed bump in a multi-storey can shift the front radar or displace a 360 Vision camera. Active Safety Brake and ACC will display faults until the radar is recalibrated.

Windscreen replacement

The 5008's large windscreen area means higher exposure to stone chips and cracks. Every replacement requires camera recalibration to restore Lane Keeping Assist and the camera element of Active Safety Brake. The i-Cockpit camera module is the same unit used across the Stellantis EMP2 range – including Vauxhall and Citroen models.

360 Vision after bumper work

The Visio Park surround-view system uses four cameras positioned in the front bumper, rear bumper, and door mirrors. If any bumper is replaced or refitted, the full 360 Vision array needs recalibrating to maintain accurate parking guidance.

Peugeot 5008 ADAS Calibration — FAQ

Common questions about calibrating ADAS systems on the Peugeot 5008

The 5008 shares the EMP2 platform and most ADAS hardware with the 3008. The key difference is the 5008's larger body — the extended rear overhang means the Rear Cross Traffic Alert and rear parking sensors are spaced differently. Calibration procedures are similar, but sensor target positions account for the 5008's dimensions.
